Cade was a great tweener/guard. Not super impressed with his tackle play. He got abused pretty badly at LT in the Sugar Bowl. He’ll do well at Ewe Tee though and he’s an immediate shot in the arm for that program.

Unless he's gonna get the Fields' "racis" lawyer, he's not helping #GoodOlRockyFlop till '21.

Thankfully we have two 5* OTs that he will play next to

That's a hell of a line, but Mays won't be playing with Smith. Has to sit out a year.

Kinky. I like it. Decade of the Vols? Or just more Valley of the Dolls?

We got down to 3rd string left guard, 3rd string center, and 3rd string right guard in games for 2019.
Is this your argument?
My argument is pretty simple. Cade Mays was a 5* recruit who started 11 games for Georgia last year and was expected to be one of only two returning starters on the OL next year. Him leaving hurts Georgia and there is no reason for Georgia fans to downplay it.

It does hurt UGA. No spinning it. Doesn’t mean our OL will suck, but it would be better with him than without

Well he’s likely playing guard here unless Morris or Wright just don’t develop at all.

LOL something must have happen...he wasn't that great anyway
I've heard rumors that he was unhappy and wanted to transfer for over a year. To be honest, I thought they were just rumors generated mainly by him being a local legacy that got away but they look pretty damn accurate now.

He's probably going to UT because his brother is there and it would be very difficult for his parents with 2 kids at different schools.
That being said, he ain't getting a waiver. SEC rules mandate siting for a year on an intraconference transfer as an undergrad. He wouldn't qualify for a NCAA waiver anyway as he meets none of the criteria for one.
The most evil thing ever would be if he does go to Knoxville, suits out the year, and then declares for the draft without ever wearing orange. I'd laugh my arse off if that happened (and I know it won't).

He’s likely getting a waiver. The NCAA makes up their own criteria on the fly for every kid.

Florida fans told us how confident they were in the Brenton Cox waiver this past fall.
It never came.
Why would Cade Mays be different?

He’s being represented by Mars. Mays’ chicken shite dad is suing the school that was undoubtedly pushing by Mars to solidify Maya’ case.
If Cade wants to transfer, fine. No problem. But I take issue with him and his family filing suit against the school that gave him everything the last two years. Some scumbag shite.

The lawsuit was filed to preserve future rights (statute of limitations is coming up).
Once discovery from the lawsuit occurs, I bet the suit gets dropped against UGA.
The Florida staff was 99% positive that they would get Cox eligible. They were wrong. Phil Fulmer himself could tell me that he will win this one with the ncaa. But I still wouldn't believe it. If florida couldnt win cox, tennessee won't get Mays
