Auburn’s OC for 10 years

Nah.He coached the Freshman team and got started as a G.A. at Auburn but don't believe he was Shug's OC and I know he didn't coach there 10 years.

Dooley obit

quote:

In 1956, Dooley became an assistant coach at Auburn and was freshman coach at the school for three seasons before being named head coach of Georgia shortly after the end of the 1963 season, taking over a program in disarray after three straight losing years under Johnny Griffith.

Well either the obit or Wikipedia is in error. Nothing to argue about, we just got differing information.
