Eason named starter

I missed this completely. Did Fromm have a good spring?

I would say yes. Fromm really did have an excellent spring though. But hopefully, we stay with Eason. I actually am a fan of him

About 40% of our fan base has convinced themselves that Eason is shite. Therefore, because everyone agrees Fromm is going to be very good, they think Eason must be benched now or all is lost.

Just a typical Georgia football season.

A QB controversy is almost always possible, so yes.

I guess I was all in to baseball season or something, but I missed it. No doubt Eason has the talent if he can put it together he will go far.

Why would it be a controversy? One is a returning starter, the other is a true freshman.

Anything is possible. It's unlikely to be a real controversy.

The backup QB is always the best player on the team...just ask Bama fans.

Eason is the starter barring injury

Kirby straight up said it's not a controversy at media days. Fromm will ideally redshirt with Ramsey opting to return.

So no, there's no controversy except in the minds of the keyboard coaches that think a freshman from warner Robbins is better than the former 5* that has played a full season in the sec

Not to start the season. But Kirby knows he used up his mulligan year by losing to Vanderbilt and Ga Tech, getting blown out by Ole Miss, playing poorly against several bad teams, etc. So if Eason's play is lackluster AND we lose a couple of games out of the first six, Kirby and company will start to feel some heat as more fans and recruits begin to have doubts. At that point, even though Fromm has proven nothing, Eason's on notice IMO.

I mean, just because Kirby said it doesn't make it true. Of course he's going to say that.

Actually it does make it true given that it's kirbys call to make as to who the QB is. Just las mcelwain wouldn't state who UFs QB will be, makes it a controversy because it's the HCs call to make. Kirby can say that it is going to be Eason. The ideal scenario for UGA is to redshirt Fromm. Period. If he doesn't need to play, don't play him.

Eason seems to have mechanics problems and his accuracy is off. He has worked hard in the off season, and I think he will have a big sophomore year. he will make the jump. The problem is some people will want the latest and greatest all the time.

I think Eason will be fine, though. The most popular player on any team is always the backup QB.

That nbc story needs to be fact checked. Eason did not start all 12 games, lambert started the first few.

Didn't he?

Sorry guys, hadn't had my coffee yet. QB battle would have been a better choice of words.

Have you guys seen the QB1 show on the Go90 app? They followed Fromm, Tate Martell and another QB going to Wake Forest. From came off as a really down to earth kid who showed poise even though his team didn't have as much success. Really hoping success for th kid at UGA

BTW: Martell is a straight douche

With the bowl game Eason would have started 12. Eason got his first start with Nicholls after UNC.

Controversy is correct to use cause like someone mentioned earlier 40% of our fans think a 4 star kid from HS will be leaps and bounds above our former 5 star with a year under his belt.
