Well we all know that UF isn’t the best athletic program.

They usually are overall athletics. I think Arkansas won it this past year? (Could be wrong)
I think you are meaning football and not athletics?

Should have gone to GA Tech if you’re going to brag about this.

I’m even trying to read between the lines. Provide a link please. I provided one for you.

Not really. Last ranking s I saw had UGA at #3 in the SEC academically...not bottom 1/3.

It was Vanderbilt, Florida, UGA. I see some are saying A&M above UGA now, so maybe it changed? but either way a long way from bottom 1/3.

I think you’re right. No one is doubting the quality of UGA, UF, or aTm. All 3 are fine schools.

Yep. I was referring to UF football.
And as for going to GT. I have no desire to be a whining geek at the N Avenue Trade School. Their academics are good for the real students wanting to be engineers but it’s a joke for the football players. They love to claim all their players are brilliant student athletes and are required to take calculus but it’s only a special math class they have created. I hear you can take the same class at Perimeter College. Those in the know on the Tech boards have admitted as much.

I tried to make it idiot proof for even people like you but, I now see that’s impossible.

Florida has won 3 CFP. Now you mean this year. Now I get it. Only one team qualifies then. UGA.

I read that wrong then. I understood it as “highest rated University” when you meant “highest rated Football team”.

That’s easy to get confused with the words being so similar.

It is not very lightly that I give you this...but here it is:

Answers for Engineering Students.

UGA is very far behind compared to other Universities.

Maybe just drop the Major and save the embarrassment.

A joke is a joke.

Absolutely. And if you ant to combine academics and athletics in general, that has to go to Florida.

Academics and football? Georgia.

Either way I don't really go around thinking it makes me a better person personally. I've never really understood this kind of thread....but I don't understand a lot of the threads that pop up on here.

UGA isn't even in the same conversation with Florida.

Well, yes. We are.

Florida is better academically, no doubt. But Georgia has come a long, long ways in the last 10 years or so. I doubt we will catch Florida any time soon, but you shouldn't think we are not in the same conversation, either.
