Over a 5 year period where Georgia won back to back National Championships, and Tennessee was recovering from the worst decade in the history of the program...Georgia averaged about 50 more fans per game.
So you are getting clear that UGA was at capacity every game and Tennessee was only 90% full in that same time period?
This is the hill you choose to die on?

Dude...getting 90% capacity with Jeremy Pruitt at the helm is actually impressive.
That being said...you have to remember that 5 year period also includes COVID attendance in 2020. Here is how they compare in attendance since 2020:
2023
Tennessee - 101,915
Georgia - 92,746
2022
Tennessee - 100,532
Georgia - 92,746
2021
Tennessee - 86,386
Georgia - 92,746
So...in recovery from both COVID and Jeremy Pruitt (two viruses)...Tennessee is back to capacity.

Looking at the attendance numbers, Covid sure didn't seem to affect UGA any!

I like it I wish all stadiums would look into redoing media and press boxes to handle the reality that most games are called remotely now. And adding luxury boxes is the future.
Personally I hope Neyland drops down to around 85k in seating. With everything streamed now the game experience is just not as appealing to the average fan. Add more standing room cheap seats for those that just want to be there as make the rest oversized more comfortable seats for season ticket holders. The rest can go to students and boxes.

I would be just fine with dropping to 92,455.

Tennessee fans. You gotta love 'em. They have no clue what they are talking about, they just bump their gums to bump their gums.

After attending the State-UMASS Game in Gillette Stadium back in 2016, I advocate that every stadium be like it.
Capacity-68K
Every seat is a chair back.
Aisle between the rows are wide enough to walk past your neighbors without DISTURBING them. Ample leg room in front of you to stretch out your legs.
Seats are very wide and larger people can sit in comfort.
Completely first class all the way around. The Patriots did it right when they built that stadium.

You do realize that the game callers only get one small suite, right? Everything else is the same:
- Local and national writers
- Home and visitor radio announcers
- Home and visitor coaching staff
Not to mention that the press part of a press box is typically a small section and the rest of most press boxes actually are luxury suites.

That won't happen again until 2062. So, no.

I’ve been in press boxes with the Daily Times for multiple events beginning in the 80s. The times are not what they were from back then. The days of typewriters going and 10 people squeezing into a small space are gone.
You need a box for the team calling the game for the school, boxes for coaches and support staff. National games are called remotely, replay is done remotely, beat writers are not there anymore. The equipment for the games is done via truck. It’s not what it used to be from my experience.
