Just let Gurley go for 75 on the first play and he'll be too tired to do anything the rest of the game. I'm willing to give up 7 points to turn him into a non-factor for the next 59 minutes.

I'm not sure why you are confused or asking wtf?

A running back who can run between the tackles and with the speed to break the big run. A QB capable of picking the defense apart and burning man to man coverage. A defense that should be able to somewhat contain AU's rushing attack. This is going to be a tough game for AU. Marshall will have to throw the ball to win and Jake Holland will have to run fit and make tackles. Maybe I am being a pussy and unable to shake the effects of the last couple of seasons, but I'm officially worried.
Nope. You are exactly right. They are a bad matchup for us. We essentially have two keys we have to achieve to win Sat (outside the usuals - don't turn it over, no stupid penalties, etc). They are:
1. Run gap defense. Our linebackers CANNOT play like crap. They have to make their fits and at least make good contact with the RB on inside runs to allow time for help as I do not think we will be able to take down Gurley one on one consistantly. Note this is a reasonable goal as opposed to saying our LBs have to stuff Gurley in their gaps which might be asking for a bit much.
2. We are gonna have to throw. Nick is going to have to hit the intermediate routes (10-20 yards), be accurate and our receivers are going to have to make the catch even if it is a bit behind them (they tend to drop those). Sammie gets open on a long ball Nick has to get it to him and he has to catch it.
We do those two things well (and no strange events otherwise), we win. We don't we probably lose.

I'm looking, but I can't see you.

Didn't they get one of their TE's back? The match up will be Georgia's run game against AU's LB's. I still think Holland is to slow and Frost is to light. If AU had good LB's your D would be pretty stout. Line is good and your secondary is playing very aggressive, but this is the best qb y'all have faced since TAMU.

Should be a tough game for everyone yet Georgia is pretty rough this year

Not a problem, but why do Auburn posts keep showing up in all the threads pertaining to Alabama and other teams?
Take it up with those in them...because it's not me.
Or do you think coming to an auburn UGA thread to discuss bama then complain about auburn fans in bama threads is the best solution, or just adding to the problem you speak of?

He's kicked Auburn's arse every year

This is true. I was impressed at how he played in the SECCG last year, especially after he was almost decapitated after the int he threw.

I have no doubt UGA is going to put up points. I think we can keep up on the score board, and hopefully trade a td for a fg here and there.

Not this season. He's also always played well against AU, even in 2010.

He beat one bad team and one historically bad team.
This is not last years team.
AM is an exceptional QB and rewrote the SEC record books but what he did last year is amazingly irrelevant.

That wasn't a complaint, but a question. Did you notice the question mark at the end of the sentence (like this one)?

I think the answer to your question was pretty obvious.

Or perhaps i was too vauge. The implication is that you should ask those posters in those threads because i don't know. Same reason why i don't konw why you're here in an auburn vs. uga dicussion thread talking about alabama.
so, back to discussing UGA and Auburn...

How about your thoughts on the AU/UGA game, coach?

This is a good point. His injury clearly took its toll on his conditioning and it showed in the Florida game.
Did he look any better in the second half of the App State game?
