The problem with Tennessee isn't their defense. It's very good.
It's not their running game either. They have a good running game.
Their problem is the QB. He sucks. The most he's ever passed for against a major conference team is 211 yards.
And while a very good defense with a one dimensional offense can win some games, it can't win a championship.

Pollack is just stating his honest unbiased opinion something he's publicly been very thankful for being able to do after being let go by ESPN.
I think his comment holds a tonne of weight considering he actually PLAYED the position at a very high level.

I made a thread months ago about how Heupel and his DC Banks built a deep and elite DL right under our noses. They've done a great job. With that said, Tennessee very well might be deeper on the DL than UGA. If they are I wouldn't be surprised.

Tennessee built their DL with elite talent evaluation and elite player development. This is unlike my team. We have a roster full of 4 and 5 star DL that aren't very good. We even have a 5 star DL that may not even be on the travel squad.
