Somone had to win it that year, unless you wanted to cancel the season like the BIG10/11
Alabama had a really good team that may have won it all regardless of the circumstances. We'll never know.

2020 Bama was a great team as was the 2019 LSU Tigers.
However, I'm of the opinion that, after witnessing UGA's play Monday night, that neither of them would've beaten the Dawgs that night. I agree with other analyst's comments that UGA looked more like an NFL team than any college team has in modern history.
That wasn't just a coronation we saw. It was a total obliteration and annihilation of an opponent we haven't witnessed in years, especially on the bowl game/title game level.

There is no doubt it's one of the best teams this century.
It's hard to say it's absolutely the best though because crowds are a factor and they never had to play in front of any hostile ones.
They do have an argument though.

Defeated 11 SEC teams.
No cupcakes.
Only competitive game they played was the SECCG.
Destroyed a talented team that didn't have to play a full season and get beat up.
Gave 4x CFP Game MVP Winner Stetson Bennett one of his 3 career losses.

At the end of the year every CFP Champion gets the same trophy. At the end of the year they were undefeated and National Champions frick all this asterisk bullshite.

2020 Bama is probably Sabans best team but unfortunately won a Mickey Mouse title which will forever taint it
