Thanks for letting everyone know you're a retard in advance then

Why do that when the letter does exactly what you're asking for, but you're just too lazy to read it.
No it really doesn't. It doesn't like the way he pieced it together, and the timeline is called in question with the way he sequentially places things.
I see the problem is that you can't copy and paste from the letter.

The AJC is a NYT-level birdcage liner.

Scared… no but pretty stupid of them. This was a PR mess from the word go and UGA should just send their fixer to payoff those involved and move on.
The whole thing was already out of the news cycle and they cannot deny the events took place. Why bother with this melt?

That was just one highly suggestive article with more planned. The AJC is gonna milk this until the season starts.

Yep. They are gonna sell news no matter if people read out of love or hate.

Oh, but they can and do. Read the letter.

Why bother with this
If litigation is intended, there are pre-steps the plaintiff needs to take before filing the suit. Things like this, trying to resolve it out of court. Showing a good faith attempt to ameliorate the situation before slapping lawsuits on people. After a few of these types of letters, the plaintiff with show in their suit a documented paper trail of trying to make everything right prior to filing suit. This is a legal move, not a PR move.

Also I don’t know if I already wrote this or just thought it, but let any other school have a 40 year dry spell and then come close a bunch, and finally break through for 2 in a row, and consensus #1 going into next season.

Correct
Rumor was for another article to release prior to UGA hitting the podium during media days.

The criminal complaints are not disputable. UGA can say whatever hyped their ignorant fanbase up but this is just dumb.

Litigation for what? What litigation can UGA be party to? The criminal complaints and lack of action/transparency are not debatable. This is a pure PR move/intimidation tactic to try to keep folks from discussing the issues at UGA. Which is odd, most folks confronted with double digit criminal complaints, a couple of dead kids, and a culture that protects those participating in such behavior would atleast pay lip service to carrying and controlling it. Doubling down just keeps it in the news and puts a microscope on them.
Did no one walk over the Grady ask if this was prudent? I hope not.

The gotcha headline with leading text and nothing to back it up (behind paywall) adds to the culpability.
"UGA football program rallies when players accused of abusing women”
When two of your three examples (even though 11 stated but not shown) ended with no actual (even alleged) abuse (one recanted and other never was actually even abuse just consensual sex filmed) and the other was kicked off immediately years ago and still pending trial, how exacted did UGA “rally”?
Surprised AJC even referred to them as women.

Double digit criminal complaints that ALL go away after UGA got involved…. Good luck with that I guess.

Only ignorance is spewing from you who obviously didn’t/can’t read the letter.
Even if the story was 50% true, UGA counsel would have never made this move. No way they put it on the line without knowing they are in the right factually. That would be the opposite of a PR move.

Has Richard Jewel gotten his retraction yet? Get in line for that rag.

Correct. The fact that they claimed 11 but only provided 3 seems suspect. Not to mention 2 of the 3 never player a down afterwards and they tried to make it look like the third player got preferential treatment but once you read the police interview you see that the AJC took some major liberties to make it seem that way. Why not give the names of the other 8 players if they have them?

"The Journal-Constitution identified 11 players during Smart's tenure who remained with the team after women reported violent encounters to the police, to the university, or to both." Yet the article only identifies two players by name and another without naming him.
“In case after case, the newspaper found, strong on-field performance appears to excuse bad off-field behavior," the article states. The article's thesis is not that UGA's football program condones or tolerates sexual misconduct, but that it
actively supports players accused of such behavior. As support for this proposition, Mr. Judd claims: "The Journal-Constitution identified I1 players during Smart's tenure who remained with the team after women reported violent encounters to the police, to the university, or to both." Yet the article only identifies two players by name and another without naming him.
Noting this discrepancy and skeptical of the claim, we asked Mr. Judd to provide a full list ofthe eleven players that meet his description. He initially responded he was away from his office without his files but would respond when he returned to the office. After repeated follow-ups, Mr. Judd refused to provide the list.
…and only 1 one of the 3 he named was actually a potential case of abusing women..and got kicked off immediately (and still presumed innocent). Other was kicked off for filming consensual sex and last one was 16 at the time (recruit) and the 21 year old women reversed her story (not even charges filed).
