Just glad he left knowing his Dawgs were heading back to Atlanta. I just hope that the team can pull out a victory so we can get an encore of my favorite call: "Look at the sugar falling out of the sky, look at the sugar falling out of the sky...:

He was a fine man, and a great personality.
It's been a tough couple of months for the golden voices of SEC sports. My friend George Mooney, the father of the Vol Navy at Tennessee passed a few weeks ago as well. His daughter was my neighbor (she just moved to Knoxville) and he and I watched many games together in his later years. I swear he knew more about SEC sports than Wikipedia ... sad stuff...

I remember the first time I heard him was sometime in the 90's. I was driving home on a late December evening, UGA was playing UVA in some bowl game, and I happened to tune into 750. Well, needless to say, this guy's call of the game was fantastic. From then until the end of his career, anytime I got the chance to listen to the Dawg radio network, I always would just so that I could hear Larry Munson talk about them dawgs. I'll miss his calls just like I miss listening to Buddy D.
RIP, sir.

Dawg bless Mr. Hobnailed Boot, the voice of my childhood and always and forever the voice of Georgia Bulldogs football.
