Not to mention everyone outside of Auburn still thinks Auburn cheated to win the 2010 MNC. Just doesn't seem worth the trade.

It's definitely worth the trade to have a BCS championship bro. Who really gives a frick about everyone else but your team? Insecure? If we cheated so hard we should of been caught right? tard statement

In exchange for basically taking the next two years off from football and everyone else thinking our program cheated to get it (true or not)? I'm not saying I definitely wouldn't take it, but I'd have to think long and hard about it.

I don't give the slightest shite what anyone else thinks of my program. They could talk crap til they're blue in the face, I'd just be all like "won title, don't care"

Folks in Indy don't think we did and they are the ones that matter.

I'll take my titles.

Is beating Auburn more important to Arkansas fans than winning South Eastern Conference and National Championships?

Well clearly everyone that posts on the SECr. Otherwise this would be a civil place filled with threads that simply state facts and analysis for casual consumption.

Nah.. never had him.

Further stats... of the 17 losses... 10 were from Shula's last yr and Saban's first yr. Bama is 45-7 the last 6 yrs against SEC competition for an 86.5% win percentage.

This is why AU is AU and. UGA is UGA.

It has nothing to do with UGA, it has to do with those specific posters opinions.

That's not going to comfort me when my team is choking on the splinters from the bottom of the barrel for the following two seasons. I'd be happier winning one at the pretty successful clip we've been riding the past 15 or so years (in other words, it's no contest that I'd trade the past 10 years with LSU over Auburn).

well duh, that would clearly be choice #1. But that's not the game we're playing. It's either

a)Win at a very successful clip, around 10 games a year like we have been, with 0 titles, or

b)Have some fairly average years, some downright atrocious years, and a national title.

I'd take the title. That's what you play for. Also, we're just talking about the last 8 years too. Since 2006 we've had a few stinker seasons ourselves.

Not too bad, considering the first yr of it was Shula's firing of a season.

Let's see. Ours is not too bad considering the 2008 and 2012 debacles.

Am I doing it right?

I don't think I would trade LSU's last 8 seasons for Auburn's.

Both have one NC and one NC runner-up in that time frame, except that Auburn has two losing seasons sprinkled in there. LSU has not had a losing season since the 1990s.

I guess it comes down to which stretch do I think I would have enjoyed more. A national title year would easily be the most fun season, but I had a blast over that same 10 year stretch at a lot of very memorable UGA games. Like I said, I'm not saying I wouldn't take it but I'd have to think about it.
