UF is the only team I hate.

I actually like most Auburn posters.

Worried about our defense. They've been unfocused and playing out of position for weeks, but have out talented most teams. I think we can score if Gus doesn't frick up the offense. It should be a really good game. Jordan Hare will be the loudest it's been since 2013.

Never really had the hate for Auburn - outside of Nick Fairley at least. Got lots of Auburn friends IRL.

This and ND are the toughest games of the regular season this year - and Auburn matches up with us really well. I expect a close one. Good luck and no injuries!

In fairness, he directed that at a LSU fan who was trolling.

I'd like to begin loving the DSOR again. When I was an undergrad, we had several UGA buddies come down and stay with us when the game was in Auburn, and vice versa in Athens. It was always congenial in those days, and in fact the home team rarely won, so we were usually hosted by a humble and fun group. And we returned the favor in years when we played at home and Georgia won.

But shite got chippy after 2010, and those same buddies began being passive-aggressive and just overall acting childish about the game. Our annual bus trip of 20 years ended as a result. Kind of sad.

It's still my favorite game of the year if for nostalgic purposes only these days. I expect Auburn will be ready for the Dawgs on Saturday. I hope we make a strong showing and the crowd keeps us in it until the end. You never know at that point.

I agree. I think the relationship started to get chippy with Nick Fairly's cheap shots on UGA's QB. Seemed rather tame until that year.

very interesting stat I heard this morning...Auburn has scored a TD first in the last 3 games and that was the last TD each game for Auburn.

As a kid Auburn was my second favorite SEC team. One of my high school coaches was an auburn guy. I remember thinking that the Cadillac Williams/Ronny Brown team got screwed.

I don't hate Auburn, but I think a lot of Georgia fans really soured on them after the Fairley cheap shots, Newton scandal rumors, not to mention several Georgia players being kicked off the team for conduct only to resurface at auburn.

Why do you think that has happened? I always think of Auburn has having hard nosed punishing linebackers.

People still bitter about that. But no penalties were called for a reason. Did we like it? no. but they were not against the rules. It is what it is.

Football is a funny game. Nobody has a problem if their receiver lets the ball hit the ground but holds it up like he caught it, trying to fool the referee. And we are all excited if he got away with it. But let a holding call not get caught and people lose all control!

Lots of minor injuries on defense forcing a lot of new players into the mix especially at LB and DB.

That's tough for this year, but giving experience to young players can pay dividends next year.

I agree. We have some really talented LBs that have played as true freshmen that should be really good in the years to come. TD Moultry is a name for all teams to stay aware of. The guy is a stud. Fortunately, most of our original starting 11 should be playing for the UGA, but some of them won't be at 100%. Our bye week two weekends ago really helped.

Tre Mathews is the last of the bunch I am afraid. He is REALLY good though. And we can largely thank UGA for our 2013 season - without Nick Marshall that team would have been trash.
