So, UGA loses their star QB (Bennett) and star D player (Jalen Carter). Bama loses their star QB (Young) and D player (Anderson). Some Bama fans told me that UGA is bound to take a step back losing that kind of talent, but Bama will be improved and probably get back to the SECCG and "re-claim the crown."
Not trying to start a war of words here, but uh...Bama didn't win anything WITH Young and Anderson and they were dang great players. What makes you Bama fans think they'll win anything without them?

UGA certainly has a much easier path than Bama.

I guess I could have asked this in my op, but who exactly is Bama's next-in-line QB?

16 years with Nick Saban on the sideline.

That's a fair statement; So, who replaces Young and Anderson for Bama?

They certainly do. They don’t play anyone but Tenner next season.

That schedule is an embarrassment.

QB depends on a new OC and any other offensive staff changes. But I’d be surprised if it’s not Ty Simpson.

I think a rebuilt DL is more vital than replacing Anderson. Justin Eboigbe coming back from injury could be huge for the run defense.

Bama has been the most dominant team in the sport in the last 10+ years and second place isn't close. And they just pulled in another #1 ranked recruiting class.

I think Bama will be just fine next year, unfortunately.

The SEC is a tough neighborhood, so it's not going to be easy to win the conference no matter who you are, but Bama will be favored to make it to Atlanta. Again.

If I was a Bama fan, I'd say, damn I wish we played in the SEC East.

Bama has been replacing great players for 15 years and being right back in the hunt pretty much every year. Figure it will be similar next year. I guess it’s still new for Georgia but when you have the right culture, good coaching and elite recruiting classes more likely than not you are going to be a contender nearly every year despite the turnover. Smart has Georgia in this cycle now so you will see.

Are we suggesting all of Bamas title runs were somehow harder than going 15-0 and beating 7 ranked teams?

And next year - while the schedule doesn’t look terribly difficult - it’s still more difficult than anything the PAC, BIG 12 and ACC have to deal with.

So it appears.

No one thought we'd be playing a number 1 UT after defeating Alabama.

College football is fairly predictable at the top. but after the top 3 or four, there are 20 to 30 teams that could jump up and take those next spots. Some of those play in the East.

When this schedule was first set it had a Lincoln Riley led perennial playoff OU on it, a UK team that sniffed the top ten, a UF team that had finished in the top ten back to back under Mullen, an Auburn team that was annually finishing ranked in the top 25 if not top 15.

Not really our fault.

Georgia is the king now. Most Alabama fans realize this. We just have the confidence that Alabama can reclaim the throne. And we apologize for nothing . Have fun in 2023 dogs

UGA has an easy schedule next year and Saban is GOAT. They will always be in the hunt. Both teams will be excellent

You'd be third best team in the SEC East next year at best and depending on what USC team you got maybe 4th. UT beat Bama last year and LSU beat Bama last year...UGA whupped both UT and LSU and it wasn't close. Bama is still Bama the difference is that UGA has stepped up significantly and LSU is on the mend as is Tennessee. If Auburn comes around, god forbid, Alabama is going to be hard pressed to be dominant as they have been...steel sharpens steel and Bama has made the rest of the SEC infinitely better than they would have been otherwise and its hard to be better than Bama has been...the rest of the conference has caught up. Bama ain't gone nowhere the rest of the conference has just caught up finally

Bama is going to be dangerous next season and Nick Saban was visibly pissed off by the Pollack comment on national television.

come on bro. Even you don't believe this shite

Georgia is gonna frick the east up though. Tennessee I am still super reserved about, but we'll see. I am not sold on South Carolina. They had a sweet finish in 2022, but I dunno if Beams can sustain that.
