Okay then, the SEC east winner needed a mulligan against the SECw winner and couldn’t beat a SECw team that failed to win the division when it mattered the most. I can do this stupid back and forth all day. When the SECe teams outnumber the SECw teams 4:1 in tbe final AP poll, get back at me.

I think every team should show their top 17 titles/banners. Doesn't matter if they're SEC or East/West divisions, so be it, if they're Bristol Motor Speedway championships, hang 'em up, if they're Champions of Life, then hang those frickers. UCF doesn't care about that shite and they're hanging theirs. Why should anyone care if Mizzou keeps theirs hanging?

No we didn't. Nobody gave us anything. We won the East and Auburn won the West. We both earned the right to play in Atlanta for the SECC, and we won.....when it mattered.

I tend to agree with this. Why does anybody care who hangs what in their stadium. Talk about a bunch of control freaks!

Technically, Auburn also won when it mattered.
I wouldn't want to see a Division banner in the stadium, but I would want that stuff recognized in some area of campus. The team deserves some respect for their accomplishments even if they ultimately failed to reach their goals.

I'm nto sure you understand what a do over is, but how about you look up how often there have been games played for the SECCG between two teams that played in the regular season. Now check and see how often the team that lost in the regular season won the SECCG. Auburn is a trend setter!

Auburn didn’t choke in the SECCG, we were thoroughly outplayed thanks to limping in. Obviously you don’t know the difference. Auburn did choke in 2013 but it was to a Heisman QB, not to a backup QB suddenly inserted into the game. If you’re going to use whataboutism to shite on an argument at least make sure it fits the convo, okay?

Any school should hang whatever they want. It's just a good indicator to visitors of what the school's conception of outstanding accomplishment is, and how often that school is successful in fulfilling it.....Hell! if a 10 win season is a great accomplishment to that school, then by all means...hang a banner.

I agree. I could tell u national champs and conference champs but I honestly don't know how many west championships Bama has, and don't care. It'd be one thing if the two best teams played for the conference but that's become a rarity. Auburn played for the conference last year but in the books they finished third in the SEC. The loser if the SEC championship game Is not always the second place team since it counts as a conference game. I believe florida officially finished 4th in the SEC in 2016 but played for the conference championship
