The difference between Gruden to UT, and kelley to uf is that at least UT is going after a guy that is a UT fan. If he WERE to go into cfb coaching UT would be where, so he's not subject to a pull from another school.
Both schools have gone big with their first try, and they are having to feed off each other. Good for both of them. If kelly falls thru 100% then I think UT will start moving on from Gruden.
Difference between this round of grumers is that Currie/boosters did give it a legit go. Last time pos hart just used the grumers to help his coward arse to push out Dooley. Which was hurting the Vols in the meantime.
This ESD though is going to be interesting though. First time with large schools looking for coaches. Do more kids wait then expected? Instead of being deterred from those schools. Will be interesting.

I’ve already posted that i think he goes to UF, I just think it’s funny how easily y’all have bought into all of the rumors after last year.
Also, the whole president and ad flying up to NH thing could have just been UF’s big push to try and get the deal signed given the pressure put on by UCLA firing Mora. Doesn’t mean the deal was completed.

It's entire possible that Chip pulls a Tom Herman...agrees in principle with UF, then decides he has to listen to what UCLA has to say.

Who knows how successful he will actually be there, but it is a good hire. Congrats.

Dude he hasn't signed shite with Florida. It's actually looking like he's going to sign with UCLA now lol. It's unreal how people fall for the Internet rumor BS time and time again. It's just like Lucy with the football in Charlie Brown.

Just my opinion, but both Tenn and Fl are really on the clock for this hire.
Not the worst thing if Chip does not go to Fl, but they need to get a strong coach, just like Tenn. Fl is positioned to be strong in the East immediately if they make the right hire and keep their incoming class.
Tenn may have a bit more to go, but again, I would think the right guy could have them at least competitive next year.
Norville, Morris, Frost ... there are a lot of good names out there who may not have the hype of Chip but could make damn good hires.
