It's not being scared of playing in Baton Rouge, it's the fact that it's bullshite to play three straight years in Baton Rouge. That's bullshite. The hurricane isn't coming right at Gainesville you dumb frick, it's hitting off the coast of Georgia and South Carolina on Saturday. Well past Gainesville. There's a 30-40% chance of high winds on Saturday, but not a hurricane. In fact, it's not even supposed to rain on Saturday. Give it a rest you moron.
I understand that you don't understand how hurricanes work and the effects they have being from Atlanta but what you just said is ignorant

Auburn actually would be a really good option I think. Doubt it happens but that'd be my choice of a neutral site
Then Florida should make a call to Auburn and see if they are receptive. If they are then put it at Auburn. I'm really not sure what is taking so long at this point though. If they want any sort of fan attendance at a neutral site they need to make the damn announcement already.

The fact that you can't comprehend the utter shite storm coming your way is astounding. How you do not realize the real devastation from a hurricane is immediately after when you are without electricity dealing with millions of dollars in damages to homes and businesses? You're a selfish, entitled over zealous fan who thinks football is more important than the livelihood of the people in your state.
"Omg it isn't even going to rain that much Saturday. It's bull shite man just bull shite!" Get over yourself. You sound like a petulant child. All available resources will be needed to give assistance once the storm passes, not to work security and man the concession stands at a football game.

If this game was in Baton Rouge and there was a hurricane coming you would want to do everything to keep the game from going to Gainesville.
Been there done that and our game DID get moved. To f'ing Arizona.

You'd be pissed if you were in our shoes.
Been there done that chief. 2005 we had less than 4 days notice that our home game against Arizona St. would be moved to Tempe. Then a month later another hurricane moved us back from Sat. Night to Monday.

Take it up with the SEC office. In Birmingham. Alabama.

I have a feeling this game will be played on Monday night. It would make for the least amount of headaches and would be the most fair.

I think if the game is moved, Baton Rouge is the only option. Sucks to play there 3 years in a row but life ain't fair. They could move next years Florida Lsu game to Gainesville and play in Florida 2 straight years if they wanted to even it out.

Can someone go to The Swamp at noon on Saturday and give a weather/condition update??? It could be interesting.

I agree, but isn't that also an argument for why the game should be postponed and not moved? Asking kids whose families could be severely impacted to leave the state and play a football game while their families are dealing with the aftermath. Hard for them to care about a game when more important things are going on at home.

how are you going to postpone it? you proposing moving the SECCG back a week and making the CFP selection committee push things back a week as well? Florida and LSU do not share bye weeks. There are 3 options 1) move the game to another location 2) take the risk of playing in gainesville and possibly not being able to play 3) cancel the game altogether

Players/coaches/support staff have had to deal with these unfortunate issues in the past and will have to deal with them in again in the future.

Y'all stay safe and a game is nothing compared to friends and family loss,

Here's my best guess. Someone has given UF a 5pm deadline to announce the game will be played in Baton Rouge unless they can find alternate arrangements, such as Tampa.

why would Tampa work? UCF has already postponed their game in Orlando. If they move it to a neutral site it will not be in the state of Florida

This was from earlier.
The projections have changed a lot in the last 24 hours. No one truly knows what this storm is going to do. Hermine was not as strong as a storm as Matthew and there was a lot of power outages due to fallen tree limbs.

Lord - just call the Aubs, get access to JHS and call it a fricking day. Stay in hotels here in Montgomery and surrounding areas and play that damn game as scheduled and enjoy the biggest jumbotron in the country.
