Update: The Bengals DC job is Todd Grantham's if he wants it, according to a source.

I can hear the negative recruiting on this now, even though every school has it happen.

Perhaps Im biased by his time at Louisville and all the Georgia posters pushing the 3rd and Grantham

Somebody posted yesterday Shoop will be UF's next DC if Grantham takes the gig, not sure how reliable the source is.

Grantham does some things well. But this could be a blessing in disguise for you if he does move on. There are many things that he isn't good at, and it wouldnt take a miracle to improve.

Mullen continues to burn through DCs at a record clip. At least most of them leave for higher paying jobs. I guess its a good sign that at least he hires coordinators who are coveted by other teams.....he practically made Manny Diaz' career.

Grantham has made his rounds the past handful of years. He has coached with some different heads coaches, personality wise. I wish he would stay at UF, so they could feel a true 3rd and Grantham.

UF could do a lot better than Grantham - you guys should be happy if he makes the jump. UGA's defenses were better on 3rd and short than they were on 3rd and 12 under him hence the 3rd and Grantham aka 3rd and frick it.

We can't keep DCs ever man. It's like they come to UF and Bam...in line for a promotion inmediately unless they suck(Shannon). I don't like it hurts that this happened in year two when we are trying to build back to elite status.
I like him. Think he is a very good DC. But Mullen seems to be doing well in hirings so far. So I suspect the replacement will be someone most Gator fans are happy with.

SCREW the bengals for not offering it to him January 15th. don't they know that is the time to poach coaches to screw up recruiting.

TG comes with his issues but he’s still a fringe top 10 DC in the country. Maybe better.
