TBH Im just happy that another sec program is the focus of the "shite show" talk instead of LSU.

Who said anything about a conspiracy? It's been widely reported that your admin and boosters were up his arse. That's not unique to UF, but it is a great way to become a dumpster fire. Good ADs find a way to tell boosters to sit down, shut up, and write the checks. Credit to UF for cutting the cord sooner rather than later, but as a fan I would not be happy about what led to this circumstance.

Yet the first coach to come out of any gator fans mouth is Spurrier.

And the first name out of plenty of Alabama fans' mouths is Bear Bryant. Urban Meyer isn't the first coach to come out of Ohio State fans' mouths either. It's irrelevant. There isn't any more bullshite associated with the Florida job than there is with any of the other Big 6 jobs in this conference.

I haven't seen this reported. You may follow UF football closer than I do though and I'm not even trying to be a smart arse.

I haven't heard about boosters getting into it with him and I was at a tailgate with one this weekend.

I am happy as a clam. What I wanted to happen, happened.

Because they know the end is coming soon for them too. Their next hire will be horrible to average just like everyone else's has been. It's not that Saban is such a great Xs and Os coach that wins games for him. It's his way of manipulating the system and "bending the rules" to give himself an unfair advantage that has led to his success. No other coach they could hire will be able to do that. They will be a decent to average team at best once he's gone.

Amazing to me how many have their head in the sand. The Spurrier thing would have me livid as a fan. No coach worth a shite is going to put up with some washed up old geezer telling him how to run his team.

You gotta admit the number of palm trees is a tad suspect.

If they get this hire right, it could be hell on the SEC.

But I say 50/50 odds at best right now.

He sucked as a head coach. UF made the best move possible. Nexf coach will be a spread guy. UF has finished every year in the top 25 with spread offenses. So we will be fine.

This was not a quick, short sided move. UF saw a strong market with Kelly, Frost, Campbell, Norvall...this move puts UF in the driver seat.

Anyone defending Mac should check his buyout. Notice how low it ended up being? Means even Mac and his agent knew he should be fired. No fight. Best move for all of us.

This is where you're wrong. The guy is a POS.

I understand why Florida fired him, but in all reality he is a perfect fit for the University of Florida and what they stand for.

You should probably do more research before you speak. You clearly don't know that much, but run off at the mouth as though you do.

Our boosters only stepped in when the moron disrespected them publically, multiple times. They did nothing when Meyer was here, nor Muschamp. Mac is the problem here. Not them.

Once again. See his buyout. Proof he was in the wrong or Sexton doesn't take that deal.

Common sense. Not a strong suit for those with an LSU degree.

Yes major culture issue. Being the top athletic program in the country.

Our AD and boosters...we just don't know how to do things around here.

You know whats even more crazy? Firing a coach who won the SEC East Title two years in a row. Then expecting that coach to listen to a retired coach who hasn't touch the SEC championship game in 20 plus years. I was happily routing for Florida but now I am off that wagon, your program is heading to Tennessee like bad soon.

You’re fricking delusional if you think a coach walking away from his buyout mid-season to go anywhere else makes your program look good. Jesus Christ

That retired coach is one of the best offensive minds in CFB history and has the field named after him. He also destroyed Saban..

Mac couldn't even field a functioning offense.

If you are dumb enough to think Mac knows more about offense than Spurrier, then it only proves that Alabama has the second dumbest fan base in college football. Behind LSU still.
