From an open letter by a UCLA fan to the SEC Commissioner:
Californians are fricking weird.

Let me start this correspondence off by offering a heartfelt congratulations on Alabama’s thrilling national championship victory. The game will be etched forever in the minds of college football fans everywhere.
I would be remiss not to mention the fantastic season by the Georgia Bulldogs. Their performance during the season was truly inspiring. As we all know, SEC football is unsurpassed in terms of quality, passion, and pageantry, which brings me to the reason for this communication.
I represent a silent majority of UCLA football fans who would like to join the SEC. Each week we watch in awe at the quality of SEC play, the stellar officiating, and the hot cheerleaders and co-eds. I’m not too proud to admit that it brings me to tears at times and I long for my Bruins to be a part of it. UCLA football has a history of championships and accolades including Heisman, Maxwell, O’Brien, Outland, and Butkus winners. It is a match made in heaven.
As you know, UCLA is based in California, which poses a challenge in terms of travel for games and other SEC-sponsored events. To that end, one esteemed member of UCLA’s fan base, Mr. Art Vandalay, has floated the idea of UCLA going private. The plans are in the embryonic stage and Mr. Vandalay will provide a detailed plan at a later time. Once privatization is accomplished, the biggest hurdle to this historic move would be cleared and the path to greatness in sight.
Possible destinations include Savannah, Nashville, and Little Rock. UCLA fans lean heavily Democratic and would be thrilled at the prospect of a move to Little Rock, for obvious reasons. In closing, there appears to be a mutual admiration between the SEC and UCLA and it is my hope that with a diligent effort this deal will be consummated by 2020. Go Bruins, John55

Normally I'd laugh at this, but PAC12 refs.

It would be interesting to see all the hog fans with their snouts on their heads show up in Pasadena every few years.
It ain't like they are getting there any other way.

I wondered what Art Vandelay was up to since his latex business, Vandelay Industries, went south.

California Media Market would make the SEC Network glorious.
Having the opportunity to play at the Rose Bowl in Football would be amazing.
Travel costs would absolutely blow.

SEC Network is already easier to access on the West Coast than either the PAC 12 Networks not in that state or the Big Ten Network.

I bet we would put them in the east.
