Does this do anything to speed up OU and uta coming to SEC?

Should have went with Memphis instead of UCF.

Pac-12 should have added BYU.

That's a nice BB league for Kansas. Give them all the excuse they need to keep ignoring football. Everybody wins.

Well, except for Kansas football.

Looks like those teams will be in the Big 12 before OU and Texas leave.

Can’t wait to see the Big 12 force Texas to play at Houston and OU play at Cindy or UCF

If they are no willing to pay $80M+ all OU can do is keep owning the conference, that will not be a good look for the B12 and really is not in their best interest.

Pay up, Gooners.

Big 12 is currently the 4th best P5 conference and with those changes it will still be the 4th. Losing Texas and OU will initially hurt with tv contracts but Houston with more resources can fill some of that gap. Moving into Florida and Ohio will help mitigate those losses. Not sure about BYU being a full time member but I’m sure they read the tea leaves and realized that this is their only real shot at a playoff opportunity.

Sole purpose was to get a sniveling reply out of you. Although not worthy of your typical temper tantrums, good enough.

Looks good on paper, but how is a school like UCF or Cincinnati supposed to play BYU or TTU in sports like volleyball, basketball, or other smaller sports? Conference is too geographically spread out unless it’s football only.

If that's their conference now then they should lose Power 5 status.

They can’t replace OU or Texass but I think that’s about the best they can do right now. The remaining 8 teams or as I like to call them the Irate 8 all have their legs spread wide open waiting for the call. I think this move ensures OU and Texass will for sure be competing in the SEC in 2022.

Ok here's how it was explained to me by a friend who is still on a board at OU.

The new big12 will need a media contract obviously and they will get one from ESPN. ESPN's first demand to play ball is that they release OU and Texas.

So this expansion by the big12 is less about screwing OU and Texas as it is about the big12 and ESPN leveraging each other.

TLDR: If they expand before next season expect OU and Texas in the SEC next season.

It's a solid conference. I can't see how anyone thinks the Pac 12 is better? Think they wait until the TV contract is up then add Memphis and USF

I agree the Pac12 is weak and I think this new Big12/14 whatever they plan to do will be probably the 4th best conference when it comes to football and basketball. The Pac12 not taking some of those Big 12 schools I think will be a huge mistake in the long run. We’ll see though.
