I can bench 225lbs for 30.
Just like Jesse Williams.

TM doesn't need to bench 38 reps @225. His vert, Broad Jump, 40, shuttles and cone drills are whats important.

It's a bad sign that he didn't come to the combine prepared. 4 reps would suggest he hasn't been in a gym since leaving lsu.

This.
Anyone playing football, especially anyone trying to get into the NFL, should be able to do way more than 4 damn reps of 225.
The only explanation is that he doesn't workout, and his ceiling is very low because of it.

Wow all these fans should be NFL scouts. all y'all foaming over workout reps are all meat gazers. Seems like you love work out stars.

Of all the traits that atheletes show at the combine, strength is the one that can be the most easily manipulated. Although 4 reps is a disappointment it can be increased fairly easy.

luckily for TM7 his ability to cover isn't based

Not saying he needs to be the strongest player on the field or able to bench 25 reps.
But, he needed to prove he was serious about getting better faster and stronger. 4 damn reps on bench is beyond pathetic. He doesn't have elite speed and he obviously doesn't have any strength. So, the question is what is he selling? Deion got by with not worrying about lifting cuz he basically could run a 4.2 forty. Mathieu doesn't have that luxury.
I just figure being in his situation, he would have actually tried.

Dude has no desire what so ever. He is a gamer and goes with his natural ability and likes the chronic. Not a particularly good investment if you are the one writing the check unless you want a nickel back and possible return man. He won't go above the 4th round..

When it comes to getting paid TM needs to put down the pipe. Gettin paid is so much better than gettin high...
He needs to start eatin steak and drinkin milk because the NFL is a completely different ball game...

His combine does not hinge on a bench press. how many players DNP in it or the 40. In his situation I would think it more important to stay clean work on technique. TM will be fine.

But to talk shite about that dude reps is dumb as shite. repping 225 for 4 reps at his size is actually really good
No, no it isn't.

As far as TM7:
Yes, the bp test may not be the most important one for a DB/Return man BUT it does show that he hasnt been working hard in the weight room AT ALL.
Yea, he's a gamer, I get it. But guess what? so are the mutants he's gonna be lining up against. This isnt a flame bc I like TM7 honestly, always have. But damn, 4 reps of 225? Thats pathetic no matter how big you are.
He knows he has gotta put more weight on just to be somewhat durable and if he had in fact been working towards doing that he wouldve been able to pop 225 atleast 8-10 times, at least.

Did anyone see Warren Sapp's comments about the bench press. He said he did 16 at his combine and some OL did 43. Then he said tell him to meet me on the 50 yd line and see who would win. Then one of the other guys said " who did 43 reps?" He said "exactly" That was classic SAPP
