You're imagining hypocrisy where none exists. LSU and Alabama, as college football programs, are clearly not on the same level of success. Bama clearly does not have just the success of former players at the NFL level to fall back on.

In the historical records of NFL football, Hurts will be an OU quarterback and that’s all that matters.
If fans now like him years later, nothing wrong with that, but it won’t change the fact he is officially an OU QB forever per the NFL.

Maybe you should try to like the NFL more. I watch football and I've watched almost every game the Eagles have played (NFL Ticket) in the last 3 years. I like Philly. I also have family in that area so I'm biased and can live with it.

As a Bama fan, I've always claimed Hurts. Not for the player he is, but the man he is. When Tua replaced him in NC against Georgia, he could have got his feelings hurt and left. He didn't, he put his team first. Stayed the next year and ended up replacing Tua in the SEC Championship game and won. Having lived in Altus, OK for a few years I absolutely HATE oklahoma and their fans. However, the year Jalen played there I rooted for them in every game.

Thats great buddy. I think its great to root for someone who attended your school. Im more speaking to those Bama fans who talked all kinds of shite when LsU fans took pride in their alumni’s accomplishments.

A game that Bama would have lost had Jalen not been replaced. Not a knock on Jalen, Georgia was just well prepared for all the Bama plays from Jalen in that game.
