This is absolutely insane. What's to stop head coaches from going to the local McLaren dealership and getting them to give an NIL deal (along with a brand new car) to the #1 five star athlete in the country, provided he signs with the school?

Lulz, doesn't Bama have a QB that is making over a million $'s with the NIL?

I mean, good for him, but no one thought through what this NIL stuff was going to do to college sports.

Yeah. And I'm not really a big fan of that. I freaking hate NIL.

I hope they find a way to keep it an amateur sport where what school you attend means something

Are we really pretending kids weren't already getting these things under the counter before the NIL?

I’m wondering which VOL gets the deal with French’s.

You do know Josh Paschal also signed an NIL with a Porsche dealership.

Pandora's box opened.

In fairness, at least everyone in the NCAA can stop pretending it doesn't happen and they are in control.

I was curious what Porsche Paschal would fit into. Apparently this one.

Wandale must be kicking himself for signing with a Ford Dealer early

I hope these companies get burned for giving a 5 star bust a big NIL deal like Rattler and Clemson’s QB.

What'd I'd like to see, him getting the keys to his first investment property under an LLC set up by an attorney.

But alas, he received a depreciating asset that will further expound the problems in those that will be in pro sports, specifically black males.

I would just look at that as the market correcting itself. Some companies will likely get burned when they don't see customers flocking from a player endorsement. Eventually the water will find its level.

I'm guessing most of these car dealerships are just doing loaner leases so they can resell the car at the end of the contract so it's not that huge of a risk.

Wait until one of these kids wraps one of these cars around a telephone pole. It’s just a matter of time. I’m all for free market but this is careless.

Or they'll give it to a big time player for a year, have him sign the dash, then sell it to a superfan at twice MSRP with documentation that the player once drove it. Sounds crazy, but there are some rabid fans with stupid money.

What if your coach owns a Mercedes dealership?

Then you can't do it. NIL deals can't be with any business owned by a coach.

This could actually hurt Alabama.
