I don't care that people are giving Daniels a hard time because, honestly, he deserves it. This just seems like a strange thing to flex over. I'm glad Simpson had a really good debut, but at the end of the day, it was only the preseason.

Here is a joke that may be more your speed.
Why do elephants have trunks?
They’d look ridiculous trying to carry a suitcase.

Saban sure did leave the cupboard stocked when he left. Be a shame if someone dismantled the cupboard, burned the scrap wood and pissed on the smoldering ashes.

Which is just more proof how bad Bama has become or that he was really injured late in the year
It is well established he played hurt late in the season. Against South Carolina he suffered a lower back injury on a hit from Dylan Stewart. It bothered him the rest of the season. To make it worse all the anti-inflammatories he was taking for his back caused him to suffer from gastritis - severe inflammation of the stomach - which caused him to lose 20 pounds during the second half of the season. Then against Georgia in the SEC title game his throwing elbow was injured. He followed that up by suffering broken ribs on a hit in the first half of the Indiana game.
Ty Simpson was the Heisman favorite when he suffered the injury against South Carolina. The gastritis he developed and weight loss he suffered may have been what hurt his performance the most, but by December he was a shell of the quarterback he’d been earlier in the season.

We had a sneaky suspicion that Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson was playing the second half of the season with an injury.
How could someone who performed at a Heisman level for six weeks be so average when it mattered most?
We all saw it. Something was just off.
And if we didn't get an immediate answer, speculation ran amok. It's human nature.
The week prior to the South Carolina game, Simpson had entered Week 9 with a 73.3% completion rate with only one interception.
From the South Carolina game until the rest of the season, he completed passes at a 61.4% clip.

Within a few weeks of Saban announcing his retirement the cupboard had been raided by Texas, Ohio State, Florida State, and a host of others. They relieved Alabama of much of the good stuff that had been in the cupboard.
After Saban retired almost immediately Alabama lost 41 of their 85 scholarship players to the NFL, graduation, or the transfer portal. They lost over half their starters. They lost 28 players to the transfer portal, including two future first team all-Americans.

Bama was #1 in247's talent composite in 2024 and #2 in 2025. It will be interesting to see how far they fall when the 2026 composite is released.

The only people who believe that 247 roster talent composites are accurate in the transfer portal error are LSU fans trying to use it to troll and buffoons. No offense to buffoons.
The 2025 247 talent composite showed finalists Miami with the 15th most talented roster and Indiana with the 72nd most talented roster.
The 2024 composite saw the finalists ranked #3 and #9 in talent.
The 2023 composite saw the finalists ranked #14 and #26 in talent.
The 2022 composite saw the finalists ranked #2 and #32.
The 24/7 roster talent composite is laughable at best.

We had the number one 2026 recruiting class. Signed top players from Texas and Georgia, among other states, even Louisiana this year. No drop off coming. Just regrouping. We carried the conference on our shoulders for almost two decades. We lose the greatest coach ever, and even then we still go to the SEC championship game, beat Georgia twice and have gone to the playoffs each year. Deep down everyone knows it’s only a matter of time before we carry the torch again. We average a national championship almost every 7 years since 1934. It’s been 6 since our last one. Look out… we’re getting close

It's wild that Alabama fans will brag about DeBoer's recruiting and then turn around and contradict themselves this way.
But that's a Gump for you.

LSU fans are mad at Daniels... they do believe he's acting like a dumb kid controlled by his mommy. And what is "fwustrated"... baby talk??

Sidewalk still believes in Brian Kelly’s winning percentage and 24/7’s roster talent composite rankings.
