This is false.

You guys create these fake narratives whenever you can't explain the obvious.

Could somebody post a link to an interview or an article where something like these words come out of DeBoer's own mouth? I'm not saying that this absolutely isn't what happened, I'm just wondering why everyone feels so certain that this is the reason why Milroe played in every meaningful snap this year.

They can't because every time they use "everybody knows" the source is "trust me bro"

And the obvious is that he knew his days of winning it all had ended.

But he had one hell of a run

This. They started NIL cause bama was winning too much. Just like they started (then later expanded) the playoff cause bama was winning too much

Fwiw, Nick Saban was 3 yards from having Jalen Milroe in the National Title. Finished 6th in Heisman voting that year

Couldn’t hit 10 wins with DeBelly

He did smoke that LSU arse, though.

In Baton Rouge.

At night.

Yeah... The SCOTUS and all other courts just began ruling in favor of all these athletes to stop bama...

So the other players are watching a better quarterback in Simpson at practice every week but are so hitched to Milroe that they'd rather lose with him?

And DeBoer let the players make that call?

That seems like a dumpster fire.

You have entered the hive mind of the Alabama fan base. Get out now before it's too late.

I definitely do not. Bama has to go with the freshman for any chance at elite QB play.

Saban said Milroe and Simpson were very close. He chose Milroe because he was the upper classman and “had the locker room “

LSU, Auburn, and UGA have no legitimate points considering Milroe was 6-0 vs their teams.

None of the excuses you are giving make the head coach look good, really?? “Well he couldn’t bench Milroe because several of the players would quit” and “ Simpson is a better quarterback but he wouldn’t start him”. Those are terrible looks for players and the coaches

In this new college football world where the players have so much influence and can transfer in the next portal, this will happen more often. Unfortunately and sadly ,it seemed kind of black and white. Reportedly there is none of that this spring, probably because Simpson has been around and patiently waited his time as a good teammate.

Mac Jones couldn't beat out Tua yet Tua in his years at Alabama never had a season as good as Mac Jones had in his one year of starting. So there's that...
