People live in the past because they hate the present and the future. Neither look to kind for boomer sooner. Wouldn’t get my hopes up making the playoffs, much less a title game anymore.

If you want to define the past as anything beyond last season, how was last season for you? You guys ran out of other programs’ scraps at QB and playoff births simultaneously.

Unlike Clemson they don’t seem to be scared to play Top 25 teams well in and week out.

Certainly did not win a national championship. but clemson is used to that, since 90% of its history is SUCK

The SEC has won 12 national titles and has played in 14 since OU won their last. OU has lost two national titles in this same time frame to SEC teams. More recently, OU also lost 3 CFP games in a row to the likes of Georgia, Alabama and LSU. Two of which were over by the end of the first quarter.
My point of all this is that, the SEC AT THE TOP IN A GAME THAT MATTERS, is different than beating up on teams with much less talent. You put the best OU team against the best SEC team and the best SEC team will always win. Even if OU & UT end up joining the SEC, y’all will never be “an SEC team” culturally. You will always be viewed the way that Missouri and A&M are viewed. As a good addition but still an expansion team. No charter member.
