Complete fiction,

Your man, Mr. Boren, was pissed when A&M & Mizzou left his arse in the dust.

It's hilarious how Aggie, Mizzou, Nebraska fans try to rewrite history. Back then yall were supposedly pissed because Texas was "talking" to other conferences and that was one of the excuses you gave for running away. So now you are saying the other conferences wanted Aggie and Mizzou more than they wanted Texas and OU? Yeah, that's going to be a hard sale.

As I recall it was somewhat of a bombshell when A&M told Texas they were going to the SEC. Prior to that DeLoss Dodds assumed A&M would be a reliable part of whatever deal his faction was trying to put together that would have included Texas, OU, and A&M (not, lol).

I also read rumors that Mike Slive would have taken Texas and OU at the same time as A&M with probably Mizzou to even out the numbers. Whether that was the truth or not, have at it, but it sounds plausible to me.

If anyone wants to get butt hurt over me repeating a rumor I read over 12 years ago, go ahead. It's all water under the bridge anyway.

If it's a football game and you want to watch football and your football team isn't playing this is a perfectly reasonable activity.

It’s still gay though.

Haha. Someone would have been fired for that decision.

(Texas, Oklahoma) are shunned by a lot of SEC fans here and they'd rather boot us out.

Sir, you aren’t SEC. Your vote doesn’t matter here.

I'm generally in this camp but the OM fans were getting a little uppity. Pulling for Texas did feel unnatural, though.

I am surprised at Michigan being in the top 10 since jihadists don't watch sports.

The Big 10 had been talking to Texas about joining back then, actually a couple of times over the years, but it was a no go because they stupidly didn't want OU back then because of Academics...Nebraska barely got the offer back then because of there academics. The SEC had wanted Texas to join for years, but Texas didn't want to join because of Academics. I guess Academics was a big factor for the University admins back then. They got paid big bucks from the government for Academics, research in Technology, etc..Anyway, that's why Texas wanted to join the PAC and take the other schools, including A&M with them.

It's honestly a good thing A&M blew that up. The PAC was never getting their own TV network and Texas and OU would have had to carry that conference even moreso than the Big 12.

Bernie Machen (UF) was pushing for Missouri. Believe he was old friends with the Missouri chancellor and was hellbent on getting more AAU schools in the league.

I was simply responding to a UGA fan trying to find a sliver lining in being beaten by Auburn. There is no silver lining. Auburn is not good right now. I wasn't trying to indict Golesh or the program but to try and say that Auburn is a quality opponent right now is just not accurate.
