Viewership peaked at 13.7 million viewers as ESPN recorded its eighth most-watched game in the last decade, the network announced.

curious how all the lightening delays affected the ratings. Also, Ole Miss is not a national brand.

Does youtubetv help ratings? Not sure, an actual question. I use Sling and YoutubeTV for my sports

??? Explain

Biggest game of your season and biggest game for LSU in years… and not even close to the highest rated game for the year in WEEK 3 of the season. Doesn’t sound like a “money-maker” sounds like you’re living in your own world, and the rest of us don’t really care that much.

Don’t be like Aggie… and confuse people laughing at you as attention akin to branding… people give attention to train-wrecks but doesn’t mean they want to be a part of one

. Also, Ole Miss is not a national brand.

AI Overview
The One Thing Holding Ole Miss Back From Being a National ...Yes, Ole Miss football is widely considered a major national brand, even if it is not traditionally classified as a historical "blue blood" program.

Ole Miss Athletics +2
Several key factors drive its national standing:
Brand Valuation: 247Sports ranked Ole Miss as a top-15 biggest brand in college football, bolstered by its strong presence in the SEC.

National Partnerships: The program actively secures high-profile partnerships, such as an on-field logo sponsorship with Progressive Insurance—making them one of only two SEC programs with that specific type of on-field branding.

Modern Marketing: Aggressive investments in creative content, transfer portal success, and high-visibility coaching eras have expanded the program’s "pop and sizzle" far beyond Oxford, Mississippi.

more people saw the Hogs play than a few of supposed national brands - this is why it means more -

Only because you are stupid.

quote:

Columbus Ohio, Ranks No. 3 nationally in the Nielsen Local College Football Fandom Index with an index score over 205; consistently slots near the very top of local TV household viewership ratings for regular-season college football

And

quote:

Dayton, OH consistently ranks in top local television viewing markets for college football, heavily fueled by regional Ohio State fandom (Dayton clocks in high on household ratings alongside Columbus).

Two enormous markets with two of the premier teams in college sports and you can’t figure this out? Like I said, you are stupid

Would think ND vs Miami, Ohio State vs Michigan, or Texas vs Oklahoma would have the top 3 tv ratings.

Thanks for that break down on markets bud.

I was responding to the poster making claims about LSU’s place as the money maker of the SEC

You seem to be providing evidence in FAVOR of what I was suggesting in my post

You are welcome
Seems like you needed it given you couldn’t figure out how on earth the number 1 and 4 teams with massive markets playing in prime time beat the number 7 and 8 teams in viewers in relatively small markets. And only by 4 million.
