I love that these teams are playing big games early. There have been some great games so far.
You mean this is better than Arky beating a team by 70?

It's surprising that Hunter Dickerson doesn't play for Duke. He's their prototype.

Christian Laetner move.

Great win. Real gut check.

They really should never work again.
It's funny, I was hanging out with an Iowa State fan friend of mine today, and he was complaining about how bad the refs calling the AU-ISU game were. I was like, they were kinda average compared to SEC refs. He was kinda shocked when I told him how many free throws per game were commonplace in the SEC.
Apparently big 12 refs are tremendously better.

I look forward to when Pope can get past the games scheduled under Cal and get back into Feast Week tournaments.

It is absurd how bad the SEC crews can be. And the complete lack of consistency is the worst of it.

I don't know if it's still true but there was a guy who did a big data dump on the number of fouls called in SEC play a couple of years ago and it was significantly higher than almost every other conference.
I always theorized it was why SEC teams did well in NCAA play later on, because we'd get some decent officiating. Unless it was Higgins or someone obviously terrible across the board.
ETA: Article out of Montgomery on the issue from 2020

Looks like Auburn won't tip until ~10:40 ct. Sheesh.

They loved calling fouls on everyone guarding Pippin. Fell for the act every time
I had WVU fans tell me Higgins was biased as hell for Kansas and just horrible in every other game. It makes you wonder why he is still officiating.

I liked it. No game thread and no one was forced to watch it. Why complain about it?

What’s the SEC record against the Big 12 now? Nice win Bama.

I was wondering what time they'd be tipping off. It's 11:10 am here. And I do have a handful of things to do tomorrow.

How many tournaments are in Vegas at the same time? Would be a nice trip.

I meant to say at least 5 wins. So, at least 5-1.

Add 2-0 from LSU as well. So 7-1?
