We’re down like 6 pitchers. I think UK should at least win 2 games. What looked like a promising season turned to complete shite this past weekend.
Gonna have to rely heavily on offense to keep us in games unless our scrub pitchers step up

Weekend Series Preview
* Rankings reflect highest among major polls

Auburn at #2 Florida
#25 Missouri at #12 Kentucky
Georgia at #4 Vanderbilt
#9 Tennessee at #1 LSU
#22 Ole Miss at Texas A&M
#2 South Carolina at Mississippi State
Alabama at #5 Arkansas

Obviously for the rant the Tennessee @ LSU series is the big event and it starts on Thursday night.

I'm sure that will settle things.

7:30 Grambling @ (1) LSU SEC Network +

I was impressed with Grambling when they played at Arkansas earlier this season. Boudreaux, Grambling's starting pitcher, had Razorback hitters struggling with timing.

Lefthander that might've been throwing anywhere from 75 to 85 MHP max. Pitched 4 innings and had a 6-run lead on the Hogs when he left the game.

Grambling batters took solid approaches at the plate and they faced Bybee, Morris, McEntire, Frank & Tygert for the Hogs.

Grambling outfielders gobbled up several balls that could've been hits in the gaps.

We’ll see how this goes. I know MSU hasn’t been playing well and so the environment might not be where it normally is, but this will the first big away crowd the team plays in front of. They swept @UGA but that’s a meh environment and lost their one game @Clemson who has a solid venue.

God willing UT wins game 1 so Serraneaux’s trolling will finally get him banned by a pissed off mod. Then LSU can take the next 2

Mizzou lost their Friday night starter to injury vs Carolina last week and another starter prior to that as well as their starting left fielder against us. Kentucky will not be facing the team that swept UT. Watch out, those dude can hit tho!

That is an excellent preview of your game tonight and may qualify as homer post of the week since you made no mention that Grambling is 9-14 with series losses to FAMU, Little Rock and Southern.

Just giving you crap, and I agree, some of these "crafty lefties" that we see in mid week games give teams fits with their soft throwing breaking pitches, and are tough as hell to hit.

Wow, so one series will make or break us huh.

Q1 wins, SOS, RPI, etc etc etc all in line with a good team. It's early (acknowledged).

I have a feeling we will get that game in Hoover for the championship. It's clear LSU and UF are the best teams in the SEC with SC, Arky, and Vandy not too far behind

It's been 1,760 Days since tu beat A&M in baseball. A&M is riding a 4 game win streak and is 7-4 vs tu since leaving the Big 12.

Gamecocks 18-6 all-time in Charleston at the Joe.

17-6 vs El Cid & 1-0 vs Clempkins. The Citadel beat Carolina 4-3 last game played in March 2022 snapping a 6-game win streak for USC over El Cid at the Joe.

Gamecock baseball helped set the attendance record for the Joe in 2014 with 6500+ (6000 capacity) when the Riverdogs staff stopped counting heads at the gates and just said the hell with it - and let everyone who wanted - in. Bulldogs came back to win that game 10-8.

weather Cloudy/66 at first pitch. winds during the game off the Ashley can be brutal left field to right - but tonight seems like it will be calm and it won't feel like 45* at the stretch - as it has many times in this annual March game after sunset.

gonna be a bullpen game for USC - back end arms with little/no innings so far this season. Carolina won't get back up to Columbia until after midnight then travel to Starkville tomorrow for the Thurs/Sat series with MSU.

got a feeling The Citadel takes this one tonight. the one thing that is certain - Riverdogs concessions will be out of boiled peanuts by the 2nd inning. happens every game Carolina's at the Joe.

Why it’s baseball. We could possibly get swept. You act like baseball teams don’t lose.
