Well Memphis has the capability to be a basketball powerhouse every year. With the right coach.
Tubby could do very somewhere else, but, at his age, why not take the money and retire to a very comfortable life?
The thing is... at Memphis, you aren't going to get the good recruits running a careful and cautious program. I'm not just talking about the kickbacks... I'm talking about the style.
Memphis is very much go big or stay at home when it comes to basketball.

Saying a fan base has a lot of closeted racist sounds an awful lot like I can’t handle criticism so play the race card. Standard response in today’s age to just blame racism for everything that negatively harms you because it’s an easy excuse.

Also here's a little known and almost always overlooked series of facts:
Tubby was never fired from UK... he went behind their back and got on at Minnesota... where he was then fired.
Then he got on at Texas Tech and went behind their back and worked a deal to get on at Memphis where he was just fired.
Guy deserves everything he gets except the millions of dollars and idgaf what color his skin is.
