Mac Jones is clearly better and there is a strong chance Bryce beats him out too. If he is looking for playing time or to start, it’s not shocking he transferred. He wasn’t going to start anytime soon with what is in front of him
Best of luck to him. Hope he finds a good fit. He seems to be a good kid as well

I don’t think it was necessarily a bad thing. You ended up with one national title and another appearance in one.
The defense though has taken a major slide the last two years. I think recruiting of quality character kids and top assistants leaving also played a role in that as well.
I personally think Alabama is in a very good QB position moving forward. Mac is perfectly fine for the job with a really talented Bryce in the wings to contribute as well. It now comes down to straightening out the defense.

He did help us come from behind to win it. I like him. But he really didn’t do anything after that. Jalen won us the SEC title game in 2018, we had our worst lost under Saban vs Clemson, and against good defenses Tua looked average at best. He lit up a lot of lesser teams though. And all the drama and unrealized potential.

I don’t disagree with you. Tua has performed very well against good teams and he has had his bad moments against good ones as well. I think his biggest issue is sometimes he doesn’t know when to give up on plays. He tries to force things too much. I did think overall he did a better job going through his progressions this year compared to last.
Anyways back on topic. I don’t think Tuas brother transferring is anything bad. I think he wants to play. You only have 4 years and once it’s up it’s up.
