LSU has had a #1 Pick in the draft whose beaten you twice in two years, and also a former NFL MVP at QB.
I’m also pretty certain you guys have had some signal callers who won Super Bowls as well.
The point is that trying to compare between eras-or situations-is impossible. Scam Newton would’ve been a Tight End or a DE if his Freshman Year in HS was 1995. Tim Tebow would’ve played fullback/H-Back for LSU 10 years ago because Les Miles was and is a complete ignoramus.
Situations, depth charts, coaches and Eras all impact where athletes end up and how they perform.
Just as there’s no way to prove you wrong...there’s no way to prove yourself right.

Hey Gump, when Tua becomes a Hall of Famer in the NFL for multiple season, then come back and tell me how great he is. Y.A. Tittle is the first NFL QB to ever throw for over 500 yards, and he did it when that was completely unheard of.
