False. Dribbling the ball around the perimeter for 25 seconds isn’t great basketball.

Far from conclusive? He definitely touched the ball last. I was pulling for ttu but get real. Aggies of all people are experts on ball touching. Stop playing.

it showed who it actually touched last.

But it didn't. Not conclusively. It was a bad call, and it was made doubly worse by the fact that the Tech guy was clearly fouled by the guy behind him right before the guy in front of him knocked it out.

f a horizontal force propels the ball and a smaller vertical force immediately follows it, the ball will still go 15 feet sideways.

Yeah this is true but it did not seem AT ALL CLEAR that Moretti's finger brushed the ball at all (the trajectory of the ball did not change after Hunter hit it away). The fact that they blew the image up and slowed it down so that it looked like Moretti's finger MAYBE touched the ball is not conclusive. If it is not conclusive, the call on the court should not have been reversed. It was a bad call, and a bad use of replay that gave the upper hand clearly to one team in a huge moment in the game. Physics aside, you should admit that it was a bad call that should not have been made. Replay is for correcting egregious errors, not blowing an image up so much that it kills the definition of all objects in the picture so that it looks merely POSSIBLE that the other player's pinky touched the ball. That's my opinion on the matter anyways. UVA very possibly still wins that game even if the call isn't made, but I think it was an unfortunate reversal at that juncture in the game.

Or exactly what the NCAA and CBS needed...for a shrinking resource.
