Their first 8 games are:

at Wyoming
vs West Virginia
vs Southeast Missouri State
vs South Carolina
vs Troy
vs Ole Miss
at Vanderbilt
at Kentucky

I see the South Carolina game and MAYBE the Kentucky game as tossups (though I think the Cats take a significant step back this year). Missouri should be clearly favored in all the others.

November will be tougher, but a game at Georgia is followed by Florida and Tennessee at home, then the season finale at Arkansas. It would not surprise me at all to see Missouri win 10 games this year. It's striking how manageable their schedule is this year compared to other SEC teams.

I'd go

@ Wyoming - 90%
West Virginia - 75%
SE Missouri - 99%
South Carolina - 60%
Troy - 80%
Ole Miss - 75%
@ Vanderbilt - 60%
@ Kentucky - 50%

So, not great odds, but it wouldn't be shocking.

Probably more like 6-2 or 7-1.

That is almost as bad as an ACC schedule.

If Gary Pinkel was still the head coach I'd say yes.

On a sad note, GP's cancer has come back. frick cancer.

They also played both Georgia and Alabama last year -- both teams from the previous year's nat'l championship game.

They've drawn Alabama twice in the regular season already in their short time in the league.

Mizzou starts off 8-0 IF they can gel early and win those WVU and SC games.

Kentucky will get a serious beating this year.

Barry is better.

It has taken some Mizzou fans a minute to start seeing it, I imagine it's even harder for outsiders.

False as hell. They lose their SEC opener 100%. Kelly Bryant is only as good as the weapons around him and he has way less surrounding talent than he did at Clemson. West Virginia is rebuilding, but Neal Brown is a dangerous coach and has done more with less than he has now, I wouldn't count them out.

So the math on those odds works out to a 7% chance.

0.9 x 0.75 x 0.99 x 0.6 x 0.8 x .75 x 0.6 x 0.5 = 0.07

Problem is Neal Brown isn’t at Troy anymore.

He’s at West Virginia. So they’re still fricked.

Kelly Bryant came from Clemson, it's not in his DNA to lose to Scar
