You guys that are at UT are they really going to be able to enforce all this “no parties” etc shite?

Texas Tribune is a liberal shithole

I have no clue man, and I am not giving up my source, but i am going to be pissed when they can this shite right after cashing my check. (Lol)
If it wasn’t my kids freshman year I wouldn’t even think about it. A lot of local kids here in Mobile are taking this semester off from Auburn and Bama

It’s directly from the email from the interim president of the university to all UT parents. Let me see if I can just post it. I forget how fricking stupid some of you actually are.
I don’t give a shite what the email said that was sent out to scared parents of a bunch of liberal 18 year olds. You can figure out the purpose behind that on your own. The people calling the shots aren’t planning on shutting the whole thing down.

I seriously doubt there is a death anywhere. What athlete anywhere in the world has died from this?
I don't doubt it at all. While the survival rate 99.5%, that leaves a lot of people left, and while the young will make up a miniscule portion of the dead, they'll get the headlines because they're young.
I think it's pretty much inevitable that some college football or basketball player is going to die from this. The odds favor that.
And if it's a player at a Power 5 school? Oh yeah. Kiss sports goodbye for awhile.

Then they can go to LSU when they are ready to go back to school?

Its crazy shite, all I know is they aren’t giving anyone a break on tuition, and LSU isn’t going to get to best their arse again Tiger Stadium.
I am going to earliest game I can, so I can at least see some football

This season is never going to happen once campuses start testing their athletes, and the results start coming in. Fingers crossed for spring, but who knows.

There only has to be one.
More athletes drop dead from heat stroke each year.

Not in any manner.....if you are more than 150 miles or so from Louisiana or Arkansas it ain't even close...

There also may be more players that "opt out" when they see it happen to their team mates. Especially ones worried about any long-term lung damage etc. with the goal of pro career.
I think we see a rash of this.....there is simply no good reason a player who has a reasonable shot at a NFL signing bonus plays in a conference only schedule, loses a year of eligibility (I don't know if that is settled yet) with the high likelihood of the season being cancelled 2 or 3 games in and run the risk of getting injured. Its going to be a shite show.
We are already seeing players choose to forego bowl games because if it ain't the playoff or the title game it ain't worth the risk....it would not be surprising to see some true talent choose to sit out the season this year with the expectation that they play a normal schedule under normal conditions next season and sign with an NFL team then.
That may be good for the game though....imagine if only walk ons and those who know they ain't going to the league decided to play...it would be chaotic...akin to what CFB was back in the day when you merely played the kids who showed up in September and simply played football instead of the high tech game played today....it would be interesting, at least for one season...and it would definitely mean a good game coach had a shot at doing something that a lack of talent would normally prevent...

lol. There's the south and there's "The South" capitalized. I'm sorry you can't understand the difference. Texas, Florida, and Virginia ain't "The South".

Then your opinion is dog shite. You can't have the state with the fricking capital of the confederacy not be considered part of the South.

there has been 155 deaths in the entire us for college aged students
The chance of a college athlete dying is so minuscule its hard to even represent with a percentage
