He acts like a clown but is a hell of a recruiter. There are many other solid recruiters that act right, so no. I wouldn't want Trooper on my team.

Doesn't that just mean he's better than Greg Knox?
I think he is a good WR coach and recruiter. I wouldn't like his look or antics either if I was a fan of any other team. FWIW. As it is, I am an AU fan, he helps AU, so I like him.

Whats do I get as a recruiting budget? 3 or 4 milion like he has now or more? Does it all come in cash or just those phoney check cards and bank accounts?

No, not after that awful pep rally where he led everyone in a rendition of lean on me. Just not worth the embarrassment.

Frank Wilson >>>>> Trooper Taylor.

And if you've never heard of Frank Wilson, that's the point.

I have just witnessed three years of crap senior classes in Knoxville. Guess who was the architect of getting those beasts in orange?

As someone who's been a fan of a school that's had Trooper, Lance Thompson, Frank Wilson, O, and Rodney Garner on staff, here's how I'd rank them as position coaches:

O
Trooper

Rodney Garner

Lance Thompson

Frank Wilson

As recruiters:
Rodney Garner

Trooper
O

Lance Thompson

Frank Wilson

However, Trooper's antics after being passed up as Offensive Coordinator make me glad he's out of our program.

Hell no. Looks and acts like a gangsta.

Big cat weekend. Dez Bryant.

I wouldn't want him within 50 miles of the staff.

I don't know what he did at Tennessee, but at Auburn he's helped out tremendously.

People need to take a look at just what was wrong with our offense in 2008 and how it looked like it would never get better. Trooper came in and made a very lackluster group of WRs into world beaters.

We've experienced a miracle on offense these past two years.
