As if Cody did anything other than be in the way of a kick from a hobbling player that would have been wide left even if it could have gotten more than 3 feet off the ground. If Nick Saban had been in the exact same place he would have blocked it.

Or he's the centerpiece of one of the top 5 run defenses in college football, All-American, nobody runs up the middle on him, no runner has gone over 100 yards since he's been at Bama, and his 2 blocked kicks are the reason Alabama is going to Pasadena.

It could go either way really.

How does Alabama have a top 5 defense when their 3-4 NT is worthless?

Name one great 3-4 defense ever that didn't have a good NT.

Even if Alabama had lost to Tennessee, if they still routed Florida like they did I have a hard time believing they'd be denied in favor of Cincinnati or TCU.

I hardly said he was worthless. I merely pointed out that Cody deserves next to no credit for blocking a kick when our kicker couldn't even get the ball high enough off the ground to have any sort of chance. It was more a function of Lincoln playing like crap than Cody making some epic maneuver that would have doomed Alabama otherwise.

Since his freshman year, every time we have needed a field goal to win, Vol fans have basically conceded defeat.

FIFY
Nosetackles really can't mess up, QB's can( our does alot)
Nosetackles can only do stuff to impress really, and I can honestly say I didn't see much to impress this year. I get it though, he is a "role" player

I don't think they would have leaped the undefeated teams. That being said... the system is a joke. Cinci is a BCS team. TCU and Boise both beat BCS schools and ranked teams. It's really pathetic that they don't have a shot to prove how good they are.
