Our 3 Wideout with 1 TE sets create matchup nightmares for just about anybody.

This is what gives me a little hope. If anyone is gonna beat Ole Miss, I think UF and LSU have the best chance simply because they have elite secondaries. The only problem is we need to tackle Ole Miss's receivers when they do get the ball. Avoid the big play off a broken tackle and maximize turnovers is what its gonna take to pull off the upset.

I never said they were bad. Just young and thin.

Florida's defensive linemen are vastly underrated. Dobbs tried to stand in the pocket and throw the ball twice in the first two drives on Saturday. He was sacked both times. After that, they abandoned the pass or went for quick dink and dunk passes. You don't realize how good Florida's defensive line is.

That wasn't meant to be a dick measuring contest of Ole Miss vs Tennessee's WRs. It was just the point that Florida's secondary held Tennessee's VERY talented wide receivers to only 3 catches. I don't know who did or didn't play, but I do know the guys that played only had three total receptions. Which is very impressive.

This gives me a better feeling about the game as well. Our recievers are just so big strong and physical, with AND without the ball. They block as well as they run routes and get open and catch the ball. bubble screens that are well covered and should go for a 2 yd gain routinely ends up as 12 yds and a first down.

Nah, Shitavious Connelackakacka vs. De'Lontrovenous Jackson matchup in the 2009 Ethiopian Hunger Bowl was probably the best. IMHO

How deep is the UF secondary after Tabor and VH3?

Kind of hilariously deep to the point of actually making up too much of our roster-- seriously, for all of the shite we (deservedly) give Boom secondary is the one thing he excelled at recruiting and developing-- its the one position you could argue we outrecruited everyone in--its all 4 and 5 stars through like 4 deep.

mccalister - 3 sacks and 5.5 tfl's

bullard - 4 sacks and 8 tfl's

getting to kelly and harrassing him all day is our best bet

There is no drop off between VH3 Tabor and this Wilson dude? So Fla has three top ten pick corners on their team? Because I've had that beaten into my head that VH3 is without a doubt a top 3 corner in the country and lock to go top ten next draft.

I'd disagree with 0 between them- its more like when we had Joe Haden and Janorius Jenkins and 3 or 4 other players who would be top 100 picks in the secondary (Will Hill, Matt Elam, Ahmed Black, Josh Shaw, etc) -- there was a gap between Haden and Jenkins but it was more about experience than talent.

To use an example Bama fans would get-- its like when you had Ingram, Trent and 3rd string Eddie Lacy.

Note- that some of the above were either kicked off or left for playing time-- that might happen again, we've already kicked off a 5 star Corner this year (though barring a great defense he's done for his career).

I don't know about Wilson. He lacks the top end speed to be elite IMO. Still can be a very good college player though.

Tabor may go higher than VH3 when he comes out in all honesty. His size will have NFL teams salivating.

Agreed on Wilson, what might get into the top 100 (he will get drafted) is his size, there aren't many people as big as Quincy who are still that fluid- think Browner.

I am hoping to see the first dominant game of the season from that hybrid tight end that we have. Ingram will be a key to victory, in my opinion.

There it is-- yeah that's what I was going to ask-- that's where we're a bit undermanned on defense due to recruiting misfires and some injuries.

at the risk of sounding like a few of our arrogant SECW brothers, if the gators try to cover our tight end Ingram or Core in the slot, with a linebacker, then its off to the races. Not trying to sound arrogant, I promise. but the mismatch in this situation is huge and obvious. And our coach knows how to create this mismatch...but the game will ultimately be decided by..can the gator offense score enough points to stay in the game. Its gonna be a great game.

Hargreaves would only drop out of the top DB spot if the injuries persist and it scares teams off. Tabor is freaking great, but Hargreaves is a better true lock down corner. Which I think makes him more valuable.

The only thing about VH3 is I wonder if he's nearer his ceiling than Tabor-- he's great physically and if he doesn't get hurt could be a top 10 NFL corner but he kind of reminds me of a coach's son QB-- you don't really see it at other positions but that's what he is-- his dad is a college level secondary coach so he had all of the college level fundamentals down before he set foot on campus-- how much better can he really get (don't get me wrong at 100% he's the best corner we've ever had and we've had a lot of top flight corners, more great safeties but a lot nonetheless).

Just stop now. Your team sucks, they are 4-0 against nobody, your coach no one ever heard of, your Natties are yesterday's news, and Gainesville is so bass ackwards it makes Mogadishu look like a bastion of 1st world entertainment. Nobody likes Florida. You are like Kentucky or Vandy or Tennessee football. The Mississippi schools are more advanced than you now. Just take up ice hockey and join the Northeast Athletic Conference. Hell, half of your school is Yankees anyways. Go Rebels!!

Florida will spend the majority of this game in nickel and dime. They will do this for a few reasons:

1. UF has really good DBs. They aren't at 100%, VH3 has had hamstring issues and back issues all year and anyone that has watched him knows he is at best 75% this year. Wilson is 6'1, 210 and although he isn't the fastest corner from a top end speed perspective, he is extremely physical. Jalen Tabor is 6'01, 190, very fast and instinctive, and has played amazing this year so far. Those three guys will rotate on the outside.

2. Brian Poole is the nickel. He is the shortest DB at 5'10, but weighs 215 and is extremely physical. He is like a very fast LB or safety with great coverage skills. I imagine in man, they will try to match him up with Engram when they can.

3. The safeties are really good. Marcus Maye and Keanu Neal are both big 6'0-6'1, 210 pound guys. Maye is maybe the best or 2nd best saftey in the conference against the run and the WR screen. Neal is the guy usually a bit deeper in coverage, but is extremely fast and physical.

4. UF only has 2 serviceable healthy LBs. Jarrad Davis and Antonio Morrison are having big years, but they are the only decent healthy LBs right now.

5. Ole Miss sucks running up the middle. UF will try to get their front four to control the LOS and hopefully control Kelly, and hope their secondary can keep things at the edges under control and hopefully limit big plays, althoguh Ole MIss will certainly get some.

SHould be a good game from a match up perspecive.

Didn't look like anyone had answered you and not sure if serious question, but assuming it's Patrick Peterson though I don't recall that being a common abbreviation.
