Bama has the talent to win the championship . Everyone knows it . But because they got lazy and lost to a couple inferior teams they get punished . CFB is tired of seeing bama win and they wanted to set an example . Bama should’ve never been left out . They are the face of cfb with or without Saban. I hope the playoffs crash and burn

What neither did was play well enough to get invited to the playoff (though FSU played worse).

Alabama lost 3 games. The only reason it's even being discussed is because of the terrible format.
It's an argument of which team that shouldn't be there get to go, it's not a travesty.

Like has been stated before: Yes Bama could have beaten some teams in the playoffs but they would have eventually been embarrassed by another classic Milroe Meltdown. How many times do you want to be embarrassed on nation TV in one year?(see Vandy and Oklahoma)............ For the love just let this cruddy year end and give Deboer time to do some house cleaning.

Alabama should have been in the field and could have beaten Penn State and Notre Dame. Ohio State and Texas simply have a bit more talent, more consistency, and home field advantage to boot. Alabama probably loses those games about like the opponents they actually got to play.
Nobody after about 5-6 is in the field to actually win it most seasons. Being a credible national champion threat isn’t why Alabama should have been in the field. It is the fact that they are one of the 12 best teams. They could have made the semis if they were the 11th seed this year to be honest. Might not have but that is immaterial. They didn’t expand the playoffs because they really thought the 11th best team was title caliber.
