Lived in that apartment complex. That's not the first time a car has gone through that exact apartment.

Why is that? On the outside of a sharp turn ?

It's right on the outside of the only major curve on that road. It's not really sharp, but if someone were to get up a high rate of speed, then it would be a hard one to take. It's a four lane and at 3AM with no one on it, I can see how some college kids could speed down it.

Here is where it happened on google maps. LINK

Just looking at it I would think they missed the curve and hit that second power poll and crashed into the last building South.

This is really sad and I pray for those effected by this.

Damn, I know exactly where that is, you are right, its not a sharp turn, it's just unexpected because its a long straightaway, slightly downhill and then that bend for no real reason when you are driving it

The real point is, most of the civilized, decent world know when to be respectful and compassionate and when NOT to say something so ridiculously insensitive and cold. It doesn't matter if someone is right, there is a time to keep your mouth shut about things even if they are true. Mature, respectful, decent, honorable people know this. You can defend that kind of behavior if you want... but I sure won't.

Meh. It's a tragedy. Everyone feels horrible. But the guy posted what everyone else was thinking even if they don't want to say it.

I think you can feel terrible about the outcome while at the same time express frustration that it didn't have to happen. A lot of us have kids and don't want to see this happen to them, and that's usually the root of it.

So I'd say cut people some slack here. This is a message board, not the facebook page of one of the victims' parents.

I am familiar with this type of tragedy.

All the heart felt prayers to everyone involved. Godspeed, young people:(

This is a message board ... with many different topics. But there were a couple of morons here that chose this topic to try to be contrarians, I guess, in a pitiful attempt to show their intelligence and/or edginess.

Show some self control and don't make classless comments especially when no one knows what exactly happened yet. And if you don't, expect to get called out.

Weird thing is people get banned all the time for making fun of a player's injury, but mocking their death and blaming the victim gets a pass. I'm not saying either is right or wrong, just pointing out the double standard.

And a few more who chose this topic in a pitiful attempt to show their moral superiority. Why stop short ? Put on a ribbon. Change your Facebook Page to some meaningless banner.

I guess for me, I don't understand why you feel the need to comment. If you're not an empathetic person, that's fine, but for people who are struggling or grieving a young man and woman who are involved with the team they support (and some my know) why would you not just let them do that in peace?

I don't understand what you're getting out of it if that makes sense. In a time where people are hurting it can be nice to see an outpouring of love or condolences that help them get thru those times a little bit easier.

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. You're doing the very same thing that you're calling out other posters for.

Simple. I'll let it go when they let it go. As long as folks continue to cut loose with the virtue signals and scolding - I'll respond.

University of Georgia's red shirt Sophomore OL Sedrick Van Pran Granger was first on the scene. He was behind them. They were going to Waffle House. Jalen Carter was already there. Within minutes more players showed up. He (SVPG) held Devin as he took his last breath. Carter left (Waffle House) and was at the scene in minutes. Carter's mom was nearby and she's been the "momma" to all the players today. All of us at DawgNation are continuing to offer prayers as we find out details as they come in of this horrible tragedy.

Thanks to everyone on this forum who have shown love and sympathy to two young people who, tragically, died much too early.

Just saw this tweet, not going thru 11 pages of posts to see if it’s already been shared.

Just gutting. By all accounts this was a really good kid.

Eyewitness in the AJC article towards the end. Granted it follows up with speculation as the physics of severing the utilities pole, tree limbs, and breaking the front door on an apt. Regardless, a car that recent likely has a block box system and that data will likely be released when the investigation is concluded.

Sounds like they’re close to confirming no alcohol/drugs were involved but there was obviously speeding. Just so sad.
