I'm saying the SEC last year was a lot better then last year. The SEC had a shite ton of talent that left. That can be said after every year but the talent that left was ridiculous.
I'm not sure why you're arguing this. The point of the thread is about who has had a tougher road to Glendale. UA doesn't get bonus points for playing in a subjectively tougher SEC if the competition you faced on your schedule had a weaker winning percentage than AU's 2010 competition.
Look at the chart. Numbers are your friend.

He talks about talent leaving. Just checked and
NFL draft 2010- 6 SEC first rounders
NFL Mock Drafts 2011- 5 top ten, 11 overall.
I know its just a mock but DAMN

1.) I never said anything about Alabama.
2.) I have said multiple times that AU is the best team this year,
3.) I've said Oregon has no chance.
Quit being obnoxious and so defensive.

UAsports, you are dead wrong. Alabama and Florida were down this year, but not the whole conference and here is why:
Since 2002, here are some interesting facts, not just opinions, but FACTS, that show why this years SEC was one of the best in recent memory.
Here is something that you have to remember when talking about a whole conference, you can't just look at 1 team, you have to look at the whole, everyone in the conference.
This year, 10 out of 12 teams in our conference are bowl eligible. That has only happened 2 other times.
This year, we have a chance to have 5 teams finish with at least 10 wins. LSU, Auburn and Arkansas already have 10, Alabama and South Carolina can get to 10 with a bowl win. The most we have ever had is 4.
This year, we have a chance to have 6 teams finish the year ranked in the top 25. I don't think that even if Florida were to win its' bowl game that they would be ranked, so we will just use the teams that are currently ranked. If that happens, that will only be the 2nd time we have ever had 6 teams ranked in the top 25 at the end.
So to recap, we have a chance to have more teams win 10 games, tie with the number of teams we have ever had in bowl games and tie with the total number of teams finish ranked. And you say that the SEC is down? Oh, I almost forgot, we will have the Heisman trophy winner in our conference as well. So let me ask you this, do you really think, after we have looked at all these facts, that the SEC is actually down this year?

SEC 2010>>>>2009 but 2009 had two elite teams, not sure that is the case this year.

As a whole it is.
6 ranked teams and the conference is down? The East obviously is down but the West is the toughest any division has ever been since conferences started splitting.

IMO I think the SEC was down last year. SEC seemed just fine in the west this year. (East kinda sucked it up bad.)

5 bowl opp at a time when what, 70 teams go to a bowl?
I like the way they play but not as good as they think they are.

WTF? Auburn won't score 63 and Oregon will score much more than 17. I think Auburn wins but its gonna be close. Oregon will be by far the best team Auburn plays this year.
I have to disagree.. The Pac-10 is just not on the same level as the SEC. They are good but i believe Auburn will dominate them.. Can u see Fairley crushing little Lamichael James?? It may be ugly. SEC 5 in a row

LSU played 8 ranked teams in 2004. Where are they coming up with 4?
Posted on 12/9/10 at 1:52 am to CatsGoneWild
Yeah these numbers seem off but it is just regular season games and championship games. Bowls not included. And I think they are going by the final poll not by who was ranked when the team played them.

I know LSU played more then 3 ranked teams in 2003. Georgia twice, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Auburn...that's 5 I just thought of off the top of my head without looking anything up.

Hard to have 2 "elite" teams when the top 5 teams in the SEC-W are all very good and the SEC-E is down.
If LSU, Auburn, Arkansas, and MSU were playing last year like they did this year, then Florida or Bama might not have been undefeated heading into the SEC CG.

Really? They are "by far" that much better than Arkansas, Alabama, and LSU?
