Fun Fact-

Georgia has only given up 59 yards rushing per game (#5 nationally) and has given up zero rushing touchdowns (#1 nationally).

Defensive efficiency rankings for the SEC (extracting garbage time yards and scores):
Mizzou #4
Auburn #5
Uga #7
Bama #9
Florida #11
USCe #22
Lsu #36
UK #46
aTm #47
State #48
Ole Miss #64
Arky #77
Tenn # 81
Vandy # 124

Offensive Efficiency:
Bama #2
Lsu #4
Georgia #5
...
Auburn #30
State #34
Mizzou #37
aTm #38
Florida #48
Ole Miss #69
UK #70
USCe #81
Vandy #83
Arky #97
Tenn #101

Football outsiders is a better metric for these, but they won't have their rankings until week 7 when they have enough FBS vs FBS data.

But doesn’t tell how good a defense is. YPP is what matters in that aspect

All that Wisconsin cheese really bulks up the lineman.

Wiscy always has big strong lines that rarely get pushed around, and on offense can open up some good holes for their always good backs.

The downside is Wiscy probably won't win any shootouts, but they rarely get into them.

A defense's job is to keep the other team from scoring. Yards per play doesn't win football games, either.

i bet none of these stats factor in backups playing when lsu is up 28-7 in the first quarter.

A defense can’t help the field position they are given to start a drive. Defense and ST score points as well. Like I said YPP is the best way to gauge a defense

They can help preventing the offense from getting into the end zone. That's kind of the point of a defense. Like I said, points per game is the best way to gauge a defense.

And UF is the only defense in the SEC that is under 10 points per game.

I remember reading this same post last year.

And then it all fell apart.
This is a good sign for LSU

To be fair, it didn't fall apart until after the LSU game (Florida only have up 19 to them last year). It was the three game stretch of UGA, Mizzou and South Carolina where the defense had issues - then it came back in time to slaughter FSU and Michigan.
