Other than Alabama and maybe Tennessee, teams aren't developing QB talent very well.
Allen had the best QBR in the SEC under our 1st year OC, but if you say so. Regardless, I fully expect an Arkansas QB to be among the leaders next year.

Swag is great, but good performances from Barnnett could win us a Championship. Ole Miss needs great from Kelly every game just to win the West. It has more to do with the teams they play for, honestly...
So you start a thread to discuss the best quarterback in the conference and then base your #1 pick on the team surrounding him...

Agree Allen will make some noise here also.

if Barnett has better receivers, more time in the pocket and a dominant rushing attack, then it will be easy to look better than Swag Kelly

There's no guarantee that Barnett will even start, much less be the best QB in the league. But...come on. Are you so quick to doubt a bold prediction when it comes to Saban, Kiffin, and Alabama? After the success Sims and Coker enjoyed, you might want to temper your mockery just a tad.

Kelly became the 3rd player in the history of the conference to pass for 4,000 yards last season. He had the 3rd most total yards in a season behind the two Manziel years. He had 41 total TDs.
Whoever Alabama starts at quarterback will have a great team around them; but the idea that anyone in the conference deserves to be placed in front of Kelly right now, especially a player who has never played a meaningful snap, is ridiculous.

Kelly and Dobbs are head and eyebrows above everyone else. Good lord dude Barnett hasn't even taken a snap.

Saban does usually put together the best team.
But in all honestly, when was the last time he had the best QB in the SEC?

Call me biased but there's no fricking way Harris doesn't make a significant leap going into his junior year. Cam did wonders with Mett from his sophomore to junior year so I don't see why he wouldn't here. Accuracy has to improve.

Nick Fitzgerald coming in hot!!

OP must be a Auburn alter trying to duplicate their preseason hype for JJ and make Bama fall in the same category

Jacob Eason will be the GOAT

Eason wasn't even the best high school QB (regardless of what 247 says). Hope to heaven Eason starts when Dawgs come to Oxford. He'll have more fumbles and interceptions than he did in San Antonio

Serious question, is Barnett the favorite to win the QB job?
I think Barnett is going to be very good under Kiffin as much as I hate to admit.

Kelly should be #1 hands down. You swap Kelly with any QB in the conference and their team would be better.

Its Ak47-kelly, then everyone else (assuming no offseason incidents with Kelly).
Dobbs would be #2, but we've heard Tennessee is going to be good for the last 10 years now, so I expect an implosion.
The most interesting QB situation to watch will still be Auburn.

I don't know why y'all keep saying that. No one has said Tennessee was going to be good for the last ten years. We got some love last season and we're getting it this season and that's pretty much it.
