Crazy how limited UF was in that game with terrible OL play.
UF actually did try to push the ball down the field, contrary to what many believe, in that game, but Trask basically had pressure in his face on every pass.
If UF's OL play can be anything better this year, they'll have a shot to pull the upset.

Weren't they ranked higher in last year's game?

UF played better than UGA did at that point in the year and deserved to be ranked higher.
We all know UGA has more talent, and really has a higher ceiling because of that talent.

The whole season Trask dealt with having no time to throw. If the line does improve as expected, his numbers could be pretty special. I mean he really had no pocket at all most of the year.

If Trask plays as well as last year and Florida gets solid O line play, Florida wins the SEC this year. Firmly believe that they beat LSU in Atlanta. Georgia has an unproven QB and RB. Florida plays much more physical on both sides of the ball than Georgia.

If Florida has a run game, which is no given, they will be one of the best teams in the country.
UGA should have the best defense in the conference next season, but questions on Offense. Although the offense was absolute garbage last year so it might be addition by subtraction. Either way, the East will come down to who wins on Halloween. And like every time in Jacksonville, it will come down to who can run the ball.

I'm confused because many UF fans point to Mullen's superior coaching and player development over Smart's.

I’m a good QB fan having been one myself.
I’ve always given Trask his due on this forum.
Kyle has a knee issue that limits his mobility.
If he tries to run too much he’s done in our league and Mullen knows it. Look for Trask to leave games early when they’re outta reach to preserve that knee.
You’re not sick rich in WR wealth like LSU.
That OL keeping the animals off that knee is 100% survival for your season. Any chance to take the East depends on saving that knee.
GA LSU TN etc ALL KNOW THIS!!!

We gave you guys the underneath passing game. Conceded it.
We won, it worked. It's old bend dont break philosophy.

I can't agree with a single element of this post.
It's doubtful that Florida wins the SEC even with solid O line play. I doubt that they win the East so no SECCG (assuming that there is one).
Georgia has a proven transfer quarterback and their O line will open holes for whoever is the RB. Florida doesn't have a proven running back either.
Grantham is an aggressive defensive coordinator but Georgia is built on physicality.
UF will not "out physical" UGa.

Proven transfer QB and new OC. With no spring and limited fall to install.
If you've ever played football, you know that's a huge problem. Installing a new offense takes time, and this shitty offseason hurt it greatly. UF has a massive advantage there in having a continued system.

It’s an expanded fall. Coaches have been working with kids on the field, and season might not even start on time.

Yea we def weren't physical on offense last year.

Right now everything is starting on time, if not being pushed up. Moving it back would certainly help coaches installing new systems. It's the same in the NFL. New coaches or QBs are at a massive disadvantage. Especially if the system is significantly different. Not sure how much different Georgia's will be. Do you think it's dumbed down to an extent to start the season with the Bama game being that soon?

Practice with coaches started earlier than normal, and no way games get moved up.

The off season has been one big install .the players will know the offense in there sleep

Duvaldawg , when is Georgia going to stop talking and actually back it up on the field? We have all been waiting for some sign that halls nuts have dropped. Can’t win the big wins when it counts. Can’t beat Alabama. Can’t beat LSU. Def played LSU less physical than Florida the last two years. Y’all lie to talk a bunch of shite about how it’s so hard to deal with LSU, Florida and Alabama fans. Well guess what, we have all win something relevant in the last 40 years and won it more than once. Y’all talk similar shite and have not backed it up in 40 years despite the “talent on paper”. All of y’all should walk should tread quietly on this board , especially when speaking of multi championship programs until you at least win one in the last 40 years.
