I’m curious what everyones favorite tradition is for the school.

Is War Eagle Auburn fan’s favorite or Toomer’s corner? Or another one?

I forget the Eagles name but watching him circle the stadium then swoop down is one of the coolest things I've seen in any stadium ... side note - I'm a state man but I don't dig the cowbells either ... however, there are tens of thousands that do and it's a very very old tradition - probably older than most

LSU is partly responsible for this tradition. In 1909 after beating LSU 16-0 then Coach Hugo Bezdek said his team played like a wild band of Razorback hogs. In 1910 the team name was changed from Cardinals to Razorbacks.

The hog call started in the early 1920’s by hog farmers in the stands and inspired the team to victory which evolved into what we hear today.

A heartfelt thanks to LSU for your part in in the renaming of our mascot.

Fight songs, etc. are one thing, playing Sandstorm over and over and waiving white towels went out in the 90s. Its just that USCe hasn't caught up and is just not that sophisticated. I do business with some Gamecocks.....not the sharpest tools in the shed.

There really arent any Gamecock fans in here trying to puff out our chests and say its a top 5 tradition. Most have added some funny humor stating its a dumb list or overdone thing. So to go to insulting all our alums is a bit silly.

Sorry we just also think that while sandstorm is a lame "tradition" so is a trumpet playing a civil war song that the North played, and again sorry that I think its ironic that you tell us to be in the 21st century while pumping up a tradition that is almost as far from the 21st century as you can get.

I wont speak about all UGA alums, or Gamecock alums, but maybe youre the one that isnt the sharpest tool in the shed...

I'm as big a UGA fan as they come, and I think the trumpet Battle Hymn playing is lame.

You're serious? That's...baffling. Every UGA fan I know loves that moment. I get goosebumps every time.
Maybe it's generational, except all three of my kids loved that moment during their years at UGA. Of course, they thought the four fingers thing was cool and I find it relatively meh.

I forgot to mention the ringing of the Chapel bell after a victory. I'll bet that poor bell is still recovering from Jan. 10.

This is honestly one of the lamest SEC traditions. I've been to 5 games in Athens and always shake my head during this part of the pregame.

It's not for you.
Based on South Carolina's overall record against Georgia, it probably sounds like a death march to Gamecock fans.

Pretty sure you are making his point for him here.

I’m not trying to convince anyone sandstorm is a top 5 tradition or even a tradition at all

It’s a dumb list and I thought it’d be funny to see the replies. Did the Simpsons gif not clue some of y’all in on this?

that guy is insane. the battle hymn in the southwest corner is the best thing we do.

it's awesome. i truly do not care if other teams like it and im not sure why they would. i dont like any of the traditions anyone else has posted because i dont give a frick about them. any georgia fan that doesnt get goosebumps and almost tear up isnt worth shite.

I can at least acknowledge when something would be kinda cool even if it doesn't personally float my boat. I've been to all SEC stadiums except gainesville and college station both for obvious reasons. Been to home games in numerous stadiums in the ACC, Big 10, Big 12, and Pac 12. Seen lots of "traditions" and some that I can say "that's pretty cool" but man half this list is just remarkably dumb. Sandstorm at #1 really takes the cake as being a "WTF are they possibly thinking?" ranking. There is literally no justifiable way to put that at #1 in this silly arbitrary ranking. It should barely even deserve an honorable mention.

What? Dildo parades didn’t make the list?

Oh that’s right, they are not in the SEC
Probably because that happened once and therefore isn't a tradition?

Meanwhile, Draggieland very much so is a tradition on your campus

At least your school is very accepting and not at all discriminatory or hateful to those who participate. Oh wait...

Perfect ranking. Wouldn't change a thing about it. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.
