Top 5 national title winning teams in my life

This is in my lifetime that I remember watching. I was 6 yrs old when Nebraska skull fricked the rest of the country so I’m excluding them as I barely remember only watching the natty game.
1. 2019 LSU
2. 2001 Canes
3. 2005 UT
4. 2004 USC
5. 2011 Alabama
Now, this may rain the downvotes even more, but I think that out of the other 4 teams the 05 Texas team may give LSU the best game. They’d still lose but I think they’d hang the closest because of Vince Young and the secondary that they had. They had 2 Thorpe award winners and 3 All Americans back there, I still don’t think it’d be enough though.
I think this LSU team wins by at least 10 pts on everyone else because the other teams can’t keep up offensively.
Now downvote away because I left off 08 UF, 13 FSU, 14 OSU, or the other Bama/Clemson teams.

A truly great offense like 2019 LSU just puts so much stress on a defense because you can have 9/10 perfect snaps and 10 goes for an 80 yard bomb.

That 2001 Canes team is genuinely absurd. I think at the top there it’s really tough to pick between 2019 LSU and 2001 Miami, you’re kind of picking between apples and oranges at that point.
As a side note, can’t wait for the Fox Sports big10 frick heads to crow about how good that Huskers team was as they try and repair their egos after sucking off OSU all year. Very overrated team that’s mostly remembered in the hearts of biased big10 fans.

Totally agree, no program has come together from top to bottom like 2019 LSU, but 2001 Canes were on another level.

05 Texas has always been overrated to me. How are they much better than 10 Auburn, really?

Great team, but too many people praise them based off the teams players that got drafted highly and NFL careers, not that particular season. That was a great team, but as those players got drafted and went on to have great NFL careers...it's making that 01 team Mythical
