quote:The Heisman was a joke to LSU fans, too, until September. Then it was super duper. Sadly, it's now a joke again.
So for 100 years all we heard from Alabama fans was that the Heisman trophy was overrated. Then they FINALLY get a Heisman winner, and now it means something.

The great divider will be Fournette is going to end with a much, much better career, overall.
LF had more rushing yards as true freshman than henry did his freshman and sophomore years combined.

Fournette piled up the majority of his yards before his FB and blocking TE went out for the season and his two freshman guards' inexperience got exposed.
I think that probably also had to do with better competition, but maybe that is why. I don't know.
41% of his season total for rushing yards came against Auburn, Syracuse and Eastern Michigan.

You always got onto me this summer for participating in chubb threads defending NC, yet here you still are defnding LF to the death practically every other day lol.
You may want to check again. I said all offseason that Chubb was better last year but that I thought Fournette could, and would, be better this year. I got onto you for bleeding all over any thread where people mentioned the possibility that Fournette could be better.
Besides, Henry and Fournette's numbers are almost identical. It's not exactly the same situation.

Meh, I still think it's a joke, and LSU has had one since 1958.
I'm a Saints fan, I've seen my share of Heisman winners, thank you very much.

No Rick. No he didn't.
All of your stats from September and October have fallen by the wayside, too.

It works both ways.

It's not exactly the same situation.
The guy had 1387 carries in highschool. that's insane.

IT NEEDED TO BE SAID TWICE.
Henry was a fricking man in hs.

if you think mark ingram is more talented than cadillac williams, there is no hope for you.

Henry was better against good competition and there's really no argument. LF hasn't even sniffed 5 YPC in his last 4 games. He racked up a lot of stats against bad teams early in the season, but has faded down the stretch. Henry has finished like Secretariat.

Perma ban bet on who gets drafted higher? I mean if Henry is a better rb he will get drafted higher.

I agree, which is why Henry will probably win the heisman.
None of this changes the fact that you have to cherry pick stats to differentiate between the two. As I've said, over and over, their stats are almost identical. Henry's overall numbers are better, but Fournette's are better per touch and per game.

fournette simply is not a big game player. Henry is.

And LF will probably have 250 more carries than Henry in college.

He played poorly in 3 games down the stretch. Some of his best performance came in games that were considered big at the time, which is all that matters calling someone a gamer.
