2. Manderson Graduate School of Business at University of Alabama

quote:

With an out-of-state tuition of a little under $25,000,The Manderson School of Business offers great potential return on investment. Over 77% percent of 2012 graduates found employment before graduation with average base salaries of over $66,000. The program offers concentrations in business analytics, enterprise consulting, finance, financial risk, real estate, strategic management and marketing, and supply chain and operations management. Manderson was ranked 58th in U.S. News and World Report's list of top graduate business schools. With more large corporations recently beginning to move operations to Alabama, Manderson's proximity to some of the state's major economic regions translates to potentially great internship opportunities.

Pretty cool. The business school here has a great alumni base who are really devoted to keeping it well-funded. Now that Auburn's business school has received a $40 million donation I hope they can start cracking lists like this soon.

Alabama is actually a really good school. Not surprised they are one of the top schools in at least one area. Wonder where your law program ranks, I believe UF's is one of the top 20 but not sure the exact ranking anymore.

Wasn't there some type of stipulation to the donation?

I'm not sure. I know several of the departments are using the money to attract more (and better) faculty.

I got an MBA from Cal only because Chevron paid for it while I worked at the Richmond Refinery. I hated it. Full of stinky, unwashed hippies and ugly girls that use non-wooden pencils and imaginary paper.

I am really surprised it's ranked ahead of Arkansas' program. I'm looking at MBA programs when I graduate from LSU and Arkansas's program seems more impressive

Bama has a great law school also. Found this article interesting. Different publications have put us up there in those rankings as well.

Lol - Alabama isn't in the top 50 for business schools. As a Darden graduate I laugh at the gump school of business.
