They all look great to me. I give a bonus to LSU for the unique numbering and UT for the classic EZ. Otherwise it’s a matter of your aesthetic preferences color wise.

Call me "old fashioned", but I never liked the alternating light/dark green grass stripes down the field.

I may be in the minority, but have never cared for LSU eye logo at midfield.

In no particular order (except alphabetical):

Arkansas
Florida
Georgia
Missouri
Tennessee

The field hasn’t changed... it’s a thread about... wait for it... the field

Also the SEZ expansion was debuted in 2014, so how is this pic from 2014... you “real LSU fan”

States field looks like turf early in the season it’s so green. Mullen took the turf guy with him and Florida’s looks good now.

Are we really discussing which slightly different rectangle is best?

Would have to verify but I think we were doing that early 70s. It's not a new thing.

I agree. Miss St and Auburn traditionally have the best grass fields. The designs don’t matter that much to me, but the UT checkerboards are pretty cool.

Yes and at one time it was unique to LSU I don’t many others were doing it. I wish they would bring back the old end zone style also.

I don’t really hate any of them. I do prefer the older LSU end zones with giant letters and the older Bama and Florida looks.

Anyway, here’s my take:

LSU is great because the ‘eye’ is unique, as are the H goalposts and 5 yard markers.

Tennessee checkerboard is always a winner.

Georgia ‘G’ at the goal line is unique and cool. If they went to the old font, they’d be in great shape.

I like Missouri diamonds in the end zone. I’m not a fan of field turf though.

I’ve always liked the South Carolina logo at midfield.

To attempt a lame jab at LSU in the same post you claim to like Mizzou's field...just bad. Mizzou should be forced to stop using that idiotic font for their yardage labels.

I'm not one to really care about a topic, most of them look a like and as long as they don't do that Boise St shite, I'm not going to hate on them too much.

But I like the LSU eye, that's cool and different.

I like painted endzones better. So all schools with painted endzones get a +1. Not sure why LSU puts LSU on both ends though.

The Georgia G on the goal gets a shout out also.

Tennesse's rank way down, that Orange is ugly as shite.

So I'll rank it:

1. LSU
2. Georgia
3. Alabama
4. Arkansas
5. Florida
6. Mizzou
7. Vandy
8. Kentucky
9. South Carolina
10. Texas A&M
11. Miss St
12. Ole Miss
13. Auburn
14. Tennessee

I'll leave Auburn out of it:

LSU
Florida
Georgia
Tennessee
(the rest except)
Mizzou

I'd easily pick Mizzou's yard labels over LSUs. Because people can't figure out the 5's between them? LSU should go to the 10's and make them bigger.

We used to paint the north EZ with large block LSU and the south EZ with the large block initials of the opponent in their colors. We stopped doing this in '75 I think.

ETA: 3:25 mark LSU-Notre Dame 1971

Not sure either, but three other schools do the same thing, use the school name in both end zones. But LSU is the only school of all the SEC schools to flip the color scheme in each end zone.

LSU has the best. It’s unique and long standing

I’ll throw Tennessee a bone as being second for the same reasons

Reasonable discussion about who should be here

ETA: throwing Mississippi State right here because of how awesome their grass is and trying to overcome bias and shite

All tied for 8th (or next to last):
Ole Miss
Auburn
Texas A&M
Georgia
South Carolina

14:
Missouri

Your image of Tiger Stadium is extremely outdated. The white border surrounding the field was replaced at least 5 years ago with a Purple and Gold exterior border. (Hate the old white border in your pic)

Long ago LSU used to have LSU in one end zone and the opponents colors and name in the other.

I have long wanted LSU to return to that tradition.
